Redeeming The Kingdom Season

Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. - Col 4:5

I was reading on this passage today when the Holy Spirit highlighted the last three words to me continually. "Redeeming the time..."

Suddenly, I was brought to the passage in Ephesians 5.

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, REDEEMING THE TIME, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. - Eph 5:15-17 (emphasis added)

All of a sudden, everything clicked together. I checked the Greek words 'redeeming the time'. The exact phrase only appears twice in New Testament (Col 4:5 & Eph 5:16) and once (in context) in Old Testament, Ruth 4:7.

In Greek, it is "exagorazomenoi ton kairon".

'Exagorazomenoi' speaks of 'redemption', like how Boaz redeemed Ruth (Ruth 4:7), which was a foreshadow of how Christ redeemed us.

'Ton' speaks of the definite article 'the'. Some translations use the word 'you' and that is incorrect.

'Kairon' speaks of 'opportune time' or 'season'.

The whole piece naturally unfolded. We have been taught in the past to walk wisely so that we can redeem OUR own time (i.e. prevent stupidity and unnecessary mistakes/detours). Is it really about redeeming OUR time in such natural way of thinking? Let Scriptures interpret Scriptures.

The context of Col 4:5 is to walk wisely SO THAT we can reach the lost. This is why verse 6 talks about our speech.

Eph 5:15-17 points out the same thing. Walk wisely and understand the will of the Lord. What is the will of the Lord? That none shall perish (2 Pet 3:9).

How does one who walks wisely redeem the (opportune) time? The word 'redeem' in Greek also means 'to buy up, to make a wise and sacred use of every opportunity for doing good.' When you and I walk wisely before the lost, we are 'buying up opportune time' to the point where the lost encounters the Redeemer and experiences Redemption! That IS THE WILL OF THE LORD. That redeems the opportune time & evil days that the devil is having over the lost!

Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost --- that's redemption. When the lost ones are saved, not only are they redeemed, but in the kingdom's perspective, even the 'kairon' (season) is redeemed for His glory.

Let's go about REDEEMING THE TIME by walking in wisdom so that lost sons and daughters are reconciled to the Father! In that way, the Kingdom is accelerated. #revelation

Col 3:5 - Died To Diseases

Kill therefore your members that are in Earth: fornication, impurity, DISEASES, wicked desires and greed... - Col 3:5 (Aramaic Bible with emphasis added)

In another translation, it says, “Consider yourself dead to...” In another, it says, “Live as one who has died to...”

If you have died to sin, it means that you are FREE from sin. You are no longer subjected to it. You can walk free.

Similarly, if you have died to diseases, it means you are FREE from them. You are no longer subjected to them. You and I can walk free and live in divine health. Jesus!

Father, I thank You that we have died to diseases. The old man who was susceptible to diseases (even common flu) had been crucified with Christ. It is no longer that old man who lived. It is Christ (the New Man) who lives in me. I am the New Man who is free from diseases. Jesus!

P.S: Of all the people I have encountered in my limited travel, Australians from Melbourne are (thus far) the hardest to reach concerning the Gospel message. They probably think I’m from China just because I look Chinese. Nonetheless, the Power & the Love of God know no boundaries.

Freely you have received, freely give. The Holy Spirit and you are ONE in union. You don’t have to wait for a prompting by the Spirit because you have already been prompted by the Word. You don’t have to wait for a word from God to move, because you already are the move of God through the Word. The Great Commission is the Great Permission to reach anyone, anywhere and anytime. Every single person is the target for the kingdom of God to manifest. Christ in you is the Hope of glory and Christ through you is the manifestation of that glory. Therefore, you are the encounter that the world is waiting for. As the Word lives in you, you can become the Word manifested in human flesh. You and I may be the only representation of Christ someone gets to encounter. And you never know what this ONE encounter will do to the person - whether you get to see the harvest reaped or not. Redeemed

If we realise that healing is in redemption, and the very breathe we received from Christ IS redemption, we can live in divine health. Even common flu is not common in the redeemed life.

We can look at someone who is sick and say, “Redeemed” and he will be set free, because the Son has already redeemed everyone on the Cross with His precious blood. Our message IS Redemption. Redeemed from domain of darkness into the kingdom of His beloved Son —- without sickness, curse, and death. Jesus! #redeemed

This morning, I woke up praying and I saw in the Spirit how a snake is being cut into two. The Lord began to show me the key to destroying the works of the devil.

As we were walking down the streets in Melbourne, J suddenly said, “Papa, I had a dream last night. In the dream, you killed a snake. There were many snakes and other things in this place. But you killed the big snake. Only one. After you killed it, every other snake died.”

Man, his dream is prophetic and it’s a confirmation of what God spoke to me this morning. Come on Jesus!

40 Years

40 years ago, it was all eyes on one man of God named Billy Graham the evangelist.

40 years later, it will be all eyes on the God of Man named Jesus, who empowers all men to do the work of evangelist.

No one knew any branding. No one knew any church name. No one knew any ministry name.

They only knew THE WAY —— JESUS.

No branding. No church name. No ministry name. Only recognized as “having been with Jesus.”

The only Name branded and recognized is JESUS.

John G Lake & Early Church

This morning, I am reminded of a dream where I had a conversation with John G Lake and Lindsay Gordon.

John G Lake wrote a letter during the peak of his ministry where he saw 100,000 documented healings (radical healings in the eyes of men) in 5 years. 

He said that they were living out less than 10% of Christianity as compared to the early church.

We are far from John G Lake and even further from the early church.

What did John G Lake know about Jesus that we don’t? Or rather, what did the early church know about Jesus that we don’t?

I always wonder how it was like to live during Jesus’ days.

Dollars & Scent

I was with my son at Dollars & Scent to find out a tester set.

God spoke and I asked, “Your left shoulder has a problem?” The male assistant said, “I’m okay.”

There is grace, so I insisted, “Your left shoulder has a problem.” He relented and said, “Yes. An old injury.”

Ministered to him and God spoke, so I said, “You have a tattoo and it’s a dragon.” (He was wearing long sleeves and long pants)

He was stunned and nodded. I added, “You got the tattoo at the age of 18.” He said, “Yes.” I said, “You got it because you don’t see your father leading in the family and that’s not what you wanted to see. You want to lead rightly. And that’s what God has put in you. The nature of leadership.”

His eyes were watery and he said, “How come you know so many things? You are scaring me.”

I shared Jesus with him. He responded, “I used to be a Christian.” I told him that Jesus loves him and He’s the One who knows him personally.

His manager was around looking at him, so we left the conversation as it was, as he needed to attend to the next customer. I believe he is on his way back to the Father who loves him unconditionally.

It is better to give someone Jesus than to preach Jesus.

What happens if we have 3000 Singaporeans walking in this lifestyle of Power and Love daily, throughout their daily lives —- whether it’s in the marketplace, cafe, restaurants, supermarkets, malls, streets, coffee shops, trains, buses, Grab cars, during telemarketing on the phone, toilets, etc everywhere we go.

Gifts & Fruit

Gifts & Fruit

Gifts can be cultivated, but fruit has to be yielded. You don't need fruit to cultivate gifts. Neither do you need gifts to yield and produce fruit. They are independent of each other.

A person who has cultivated strong gifts does not mean she/he has good fruit, nor is she/he mature. But a person who has fruit is one who is mature.

Many years ago, I had a Senior Pastor whom I worked under, who was able to move in gifts but he was manipulative.

"Gifts are free, but maturity is expensive." - Bill Johnson 

The reason why fruit is expensive is because we have to surrender to the King in order to grow it. That requires putting ourselves under His Lordship.

This is why a normal believer can be more mature than a minister in the four-fold (or five-fold) ministerial office. Just because someone has a position does not mean that she/he is in close relational position with Christ. Just because someone is a CEO does not mean that he has good character. Because the four-fold ministry is a gift, not fruit.

Let's rise up and walk in our identity ----- believers of Christ! #powerandlove

Post Halloween Party Among Residents

When I first moved into an EC, I thought of ministering to the residents at one shot in the Function Room, but under the regulations for the usage of the Room, it is not allowed.

Tonight, the residents organised a post Halloween party. Hence, we decided to join them as a family. I requested to set up a booth to do spiritual reading, healing, etc. And the committee agreed!

Healings, Word of knowledge, prophecies, etc. One gave her life to the Lord and another re-dedicated his life to Jesus! My desire for reaching the residents at one shot in my own EC has come to pass.

You and I can reach our neighbours and our own community right where we are.

And by His Grace, I actually won the best costume award. I guess everybody likes SpiderMan. Lol. #xperiential #halloween #residents #home #powerandlove2018

Halloween Outreach 2018

Many testimonies on spiritual reading, word of knowledge and healing... Jesus!

This year’s Xperiential Halloween Outreach is unique in that we combined cosplay, spiritual booth and busking (worship songs) altogether in the public square. Jesus!

Reaching Our Natives

Jesus said to them, “A prophet is treated with honor everywhere except in his own hometown, among his relatives, and in his own house.”

This is why it is always easier to go out into the missions fields, than to stay and reach out to your native people. If we can consistently reach our own people in a place without honour, we will never die of criticism and discouragement. Because we didn't need the honour to begin with.

Hindered Prayer Part 2

The only hindrance to prayer is specified in 1 Peter 3:7 - "...so that your prayers will not be hindered."

I always wondered why our prayers can be hindered, since we are IN Christ and that God always hears us (because of Christ).

The context of 1 Peter 3:7 must be read properly.

You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a FELLOW HEIR of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered. - 1 Peter 3:7 (emphasis added)

While the epistles of Peter were written to both Jews and Gentiles, the primary audience was still the Jews. In the Jewish culture, women were deemed as less superior than men. In the first place, there was gender separation in the synagogues where women were forbidden to sit with the men, who were deemed as superior.

Peter, in the wisdom of God, wrote in that context and pointed the husbands to this truth ---- 'show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life...' To be a fellow heir of the grace of life is to be of equal position (sons and daughters) in the eyes of God.

To treat oneself as more superior is pride. It is no wonder Peter said, 'so that your prayers will not be hindered.'

Peter wrote in 1 Peter 5:5 - God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Pride boasts about oneself - "I am better and more superior than you." The attitude of pride is either "God should hear me more than you" or "I can depend on my own effort and behaviour, instead of God."

This is what happened to the Pharisee in Luke 18.

Luke 18:11-14 - The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Is there a hindrance to prayer? Yes, and perhaps there is only one ------ Pride. That is why satan fell in the beginning.

Hindered Prayer Part 1

If unforgiveness can hinder your prayer to God, then God cannot hear your prayer of repentance because it is already hindered.

It’s time to destroy sacred cows and return to the Scriptures.

Jesus said in John 11:41-42, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. I knew that You ALWAYS HEAR Me...”

Today, your life is hidden with Christ in God (Col 3:3). That means that when God sees you, He sees Christ. This is why Galatians 2:20 says that you have died.

There is no hindrance to your prayer. Except for 1 Peter 3:7.

Lifestyle of Power & Love

A lifestyle of Power & Love is what every believer in Christ can walk in, if you realise who Christ is IN you. It is not reserved for the evangelists and pastors. It is your birthright and identity.

For too long, the Body of Christ has been looking to the men of God at the pulpit. We are always waiting for the next mega evangelistic rally or outreach event. We are waiting for a so-called anointed and prominent preacher. We are waiting to go for the next missions trip out of town. We are waiting for God to send revival. We are waiting for so-called fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

The only waiting Jesus told the disciples to do was BEFORE the Pentecost. They waited at the Upper Room for the Promise (Holy Spirit) to come. It happened! And that was 2000 years ago.

Today, God is NOT asking you to wait for another outpouring. He already GAVE the fullness of the Spirit to you. He already SENT the Holy Spirit. The word ‘revival’ is meant for something dead. Believers like you and me are NOT dead. We are spiritually ALIVE in Christ. We have been revived when the Holy Spirit came into us. What we need is not another revival. What we need is to BE AWAKENED to the reality of who Christ is and who we are IN Him.

Stop looking to the man at the pulpit to minister to you. Start looking to the MAN IN you who ministers. Christ IN you is the HOPE of GLORY!

Many ministers teach you but many don’t empower you. Because they want to come back and teach again, in order to feel needed. If you leave that meeting exalting the man at the pulpit and say, “Wow he’s amazing! I don’t think I can be like him!”, then you have not been empowered.

If you leave a meeting exalting Christ IN you and say, “If he can do it, so can I. Because we have the same Christ!”, then you have been empowered to walk out the same identity God has put in you.

I don’t wait for another church meeting. I don’t wait for another evangelist or prominent speaker. I don’t take breaks from reaching out because IT IS A LIFESTYLE where your LIFE IS THE OUTREACH.

I’m seeing people healed and ministered to on a regular, daily basis. I was at Yahava this afternoon to buy coffee beans. The Barista was surprised at the Word of knowledge and healing that he received. He is a Christian, but he has stopped going to church for three years. He has never experienced anything like this since he was born (he’s a 2nd generation believer). And he’s on his way back to the Shepherd.

The good news is this... I’m just a normal believer. A father of one son and a husband of one wife. I’m just someone who loves coffee and holds a secular job. Not a pastor. Not an evangelist. Not holding any four-fold offices (some say it’s five-fold, but it doesn’t matter). I only know how to fold my clothes. 😬

So if I can do it as an ordinary person in Christ, all of you are more than qualified. 

You just need to know who you REALLY ARE IN CHRIST!

Salvation Prayer???

Salvation Prayer?

Last night, a young chap in his 20s came to sit down for a reading.

He pulled out the card, “Blessing for a battle that cannot be avoided.”

We first asked, “Do you have any injury that didn’t recover?”

He said, “I have two slipped discs and my back is still hurting.”

We ministered to him. His spine was straightened. We asked, “Can you do something that you can’t do before?”

He said, “I can’t bend and touch my toes.”

We said, “Try it.”

He was shocked when he could bend and touched his toes twice.

We said, “There is angst and strife in the family.” He nodded.

“It has to do with your father.” He answered, “You are right.”

We added, “You have a total of three siblings including you. Two brothers and one sister.”

He said, “That’s very creepy.”

“You are the one who is always left out because your father favours your sister. This is the battle within that you struggle with. Nevertheless, God is going to restore the relationship between you and your father.”

We shared Christ with him. He told us that he went to church many times and was even baptised because of family, but he never believed in God. In addition, he had said the salvation prayer many times.

We looked at him and responded, “It’s not about praying the salvation prayer. It’s about believing. It’s not about how many times you have prayed the salvation prayer. Because it has nothing to do with what you say. It’s simply about believing from your heart who Christ is.”

He finally understood, but he’s not ready. We asked him to read the Gospel of John and find out who Jesus is so that he can believe from his heart. 

I believe he is on his way to the kingdom.

It is presumptuous to think that leading people to receive Jesus with a salvation prayer means that the person really believes Christ as the Messiah who forgave all their sins and that He is the only God.

We have encountered so many times where people who said the salvation prayer didn’t know what they were saying. Neither did they really believe Jesus as the only God.

By the way, there is no salvation prayer in the Bible. It’s about believing in Him. Period.

Maybe we should stop leading people to Christ. Instead, GIVE them the reality and the knowledge of Christ so that they can believe Him. #newageoutreach #xperiential

Stopping For One Person

There were many powerful testimonies during our New Age outreach in August. My heart is so full encountering this one.

One of the team members approached a guy who was strolling along that street. She invited him to come to the spiritual reading booth. He agreed.

As he sat down, we saw a vision of him trying to kill himself (commit suicide). We waited for him to draw a card first.

The card was ‘Blessing for Protection’. And we said, “You almost died because of the decision you made, but God preserved your life and protected you.”

His eyes became watery. He paused in silent, before saying, “How did you know? I actually attempted to commit suicide. I was going to jump down but there was a voice in my mind saying, ‘Don’t do it.’”

We said, “That’s the voice of God. His name is Jesus. He loves you and He is the One who protected you and preserved your life, because you are much more valuable than you know.”

He was going to cry... We shared the whole Gospel with him. He was almost going to receive Jesus, but due to his monotheistic belief, he said, “I need abit more time to process this.”

If we simply say “would you like to accept this Jesus?” without sharing the whole Gospel, I’m sure he will just receive in ignorance. The whole point of the Gospel is not to get someone to ignorantly say the so-called salvation prayer and think that he is saved. This is why we produce a feel-good Christianity. Everyone will say that they want Jesus unless we present the full Gospel. It is then that they realise receiving Jesus also means denying other gods, acknowledging the need for a Saviour because of sins and the reason for the Cross.

We told that guy, “Sure. Please do.” And we ministered to his left knee because God spoke. He went, “Wow. How did you know? I just had the problem yesterday.”

We chatted further. Before he left, he gave us a big tight hug.

The seed had been sown. I’m sure he walked away knowing the God of Love who encountered him and saved his life because He valued him. The Holy Spirit will grow the seed in him until he is ready to exchange his life with His life. When that happens, he will not be a feel-good Christian. He will be a steadfast and immoveable soldier that marches on relentlessly in the Kingdom. Jesus! 

Stopping for one person may change his life forever. You never know how one word from heaven can change the course of someone’s destiny. Look out for someone to bless when you go about your daily life. #xperiential #newageoutreach

Real Estate Encounter

Three years ago, I did door knocking at a HDB estate during the Christmas season.

A lady found my property sharing pertinent to her, so she invited me to enter her house to discuss further. I discovered that she bought a sales of balance unit, thus her MOP was three years later (2018) than the units in the same estate. Nevertheless, I continued with my presentation. As she was going through a rough patch, she briefly poured out her heart to me. Her ex-hubby had left her to single-handedly raise up their son.

I ministered to her and gave her a prophetic word through prayer, even though she isn’t a believer. She kept tearing up as the Spirit reached out to her soul. She texted me on the following day that the prayer was the best gift she received for that Christmas.

Three years later, she contacted me. We just met up few days ago. She said, “I held on to the vision (prophetic word) you gave me three years ago. That gave me strength to carry on. When my unit reached MOP, the first property agent I had in mind is you, because you are not a typical agent who is only concerned with selling my unit. I will always remember that powerful prayer.”

We met at 9pm, but we conversed till 1.30am. I had to interrupt her so that I could text my wife to let her know where I was, for accountability purpose.

This lady, who is reaching her 50, shared her life journey and many challenging issues that she both faced and is facing. Spoke into her life and ministered to her spinal problem as the Spirit revealed. Her spine was straightened by the grace of God. She teared up as she encountered His Presence. Jesus!

I believe she is not far from the Kingdom.

My wife asked, “Why do you always connect well with older women?”

I replied, “I married one. Because my wisdom surpasses my years.” 🤣🤣🤣

Joke aside... I love my job as a real estate agent. Because I get to manifest His kingdom in the marketplace. I count it a privilege to be able to offer intangible value on top of the tangibles. #lifestylechristianity101

The Steps of The Righteous In The Kingdom

The Bible is full of handles for life, but it doesn't show you the steps of the handles.

The reason is simple. It is so that we can depend on the One who has all the handles. Parables are not explicit on purpose, because only those who seek Him in relationship will discover the answers to the parables.

God, in His wisdom, has authored His book for relationship. This is why we can read the same passage over and over again, yet receive different revelations at different junctures. And because each of us is a unique individual with a unique relationship with Him, we receive differently from Him even though we read the same passage.

Some people say that the Bible is 'Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth.' I beg to differ. It is not an instruction manual. It is a relational manual that points to the One who desires to have relationship with us. If it is an instruction manual, anyone can use it and achieve the same result. But it is obviously not. It all depends on relationship.

As Singaporeans, we love to have an instruction manual. We love to know the steps. We love handles. They give us clear-cut directions. They show us the way to go. Our culture has trained us that way. Our education has ingrained this long-standing attitude in us. As a result, it takes a longer time for us to obey the voice of the Lord. It takes greater effort for us to step out in faith, and at times, to take risks for the Kingdom.

I understand about handles. I understand about instruction manual. But more often than not, we rely on them MORE than the One who is the original Author. We choose the easy way out. We choose one that doesn't require faith. Neither does it necessitate us to step out into uncharted waters. We are so systematic that it becomes problematic in the Kingdom.

We don't realise that we have the ability to skip or rather, fast forward the steps in an instruction manual, because we are at different stages in life. For some of us, we don't even read any step in an instruction manual to operate a system. We rely on gut feeling.

The Kingdom is not by methods or steps. The Kingdom is in the realm of the Spirit and where the Spirit is, there is liberty (not just in identity, but also in the way we function). In other words, there are different paths to reach the destination.

A GPS shows you different routes to reach the end point. But the point is... there are different routes. Of course, there is always a fastest route calculated by the GPS. Even if we miss that route by making a wrong turn, the GPS will automatically re-calibrate to find the next fastest route. Our role as the driver is to align ourselves with the GPS.

The shortest route may not necessary be the fastest route. There are various reasons:

- Traffic condition due to peak periods

- Number of traffic junctions

- Traffic accident (which you can't plan for it)

Similarly, in the kingdom, there is no one fixed route to the destination. Everyone is unique in the eyes of the Lord. An earthly father never parents every child in the same way. What is true in the natural is sometimes also true in the spiritual. God the Father never fathers us all in the same way. For some, He has to take them through a longer journey. For some, it is shorter.

Analogous to the GPS, a shorter journey does not necessary mean a faster journey. The process depends alot on trust (and other factors) - where trust is the key foundation in our relationship with Him. Obedience is a by-product of how much we trust Him. You cannot tell someone to obey, unless he has first learnt to trust. In other words, one has to know how good and faithful the loving Father is, before he can trust and obey.

Our role as His unique child is to constantly align ourselves to the leading of the Holy Spirit (aka GPS).

Jesus Himself did not have a fixed procedure to reach the Cross. He did not know when He should reveal to His disciples unless the Father showed Him the time (Matt 16:17). He was constantly in communion with the Father and aware of the external signs.

The disciples of Jesus in the book of Acts did not have any fixed manual, other than the Old Testament Scriptures and the Holy Spirit.

Today, we rely more on books, seminars, conferences, big speakers, than the Bible and the Holy Spirit.

The Ancient One hasn't changed His stand on the Ancient Scriptures and the Ancient Ghost. Just because we are living in the contemporary world with technological advancement and urbanisation does not mean that we are progressive in the Kingdom. In fact, many of us are considered backward in the Kingdom and a small handful are in the process of returning to the original Way of the Ancient of Days.

The steps of the God-pursuing ones follow firmly in the footsteps of the Lord. - Ps 37:23 (TPT)

It is the footsteps of the Lord, not the footsteps of men.

Enter Into His Rest OR Disobey Him

Enter Into His Rest OR Disobey Him

Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience. - Heb 4:11

I have read this verse countless of times, but it was until now that this jumps out at me.

The word ‘diligent’ in Greek means ‘to make haste, to make every effort’. Thayer’s Greek Lexicon uses ‘exert oneself, endeavor’. Some scholars find a direct link between ‘spoudazo’ (Greek word for diligent) and ‘pistis’ (Greek word for faith).

Heb 4:2-3 - For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with FAITH in those who heard it. For we who have believed do enter that REST... (emphasis added)

To be diligent to enter that rest also means that it requires faith to enter. Diligence and faith are often interlinked.

Why do we need to exert ourselves and be extremely eager to enter into that rest? Why do we need to be quick and make every effort to enter into that rest?

“...so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience.” - Heb 4:11

Failing to enter into that rest results in disobedience. The Israelites experienced that. Where faith isn’t, disobedience is. These two cannot co-exist. We will always disobey Him if we don’t put our faith to enter that rest.

What exactly is that rest?

And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.” - Heb 4:4-5

For the Israelites, it had to do with the finished works of creation. They didn’t trust that God had finished and provided for everything they needed. They didn’t put their faith in Him. They didn’t enter His rest. As a result, they tried everything on their own efforts and disobeyed Him.

For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. - Heb 4:10

For us, it has to do with the finished works of Redemption.

If someone’s master art piece was finished, you stop trying to add yours to it (regardless of how creative you are).

The Cross is God’s master art piece. When Jesus cried, “It is finished!”, the works of redemption were complete. From then on, God ceased from His works.

Today, we are still trying to rely on our own effort when things don’t turn out the way we expect. We can’t rest when the situations don’t change. This IS DISOBEDIENCE because we TRY instead of TRUST.

If we do not make every effort and be quick to enter into His rest (finished works of Christ), if we are not extremely eager to put our faith in Him, we will follow the example of the Israelites in disobedience.

The Cross is not an event for us to believe and get saved. If that is true, we will continue to live the way we think is good. The Cross is the only Way for us to believe and live in. We need to rest in it and rest through it.

If we don’t begin and stay in what He had finished, then we are finished. The Christian Life is not a ‘strive’. It is a ‘REST’.

Stopping For One Person

There were many powerful testimonies during our recent New Age outreach. My heart is so full encountering this one.

One of the team members approached a guy who was strolling along that street. She invited him to come to the spiritual reading booth. He agreed.

As he sat down, we saw a vision of him trying to kill himself (commit suicide). We waited for him to draw a card first.

The card was ‘Blessing for Protection’. And we said, “You almost died because of the decision you made, but God preserved your life and protected you.”

His eyes became watery. He paused in silent, before saying, “How did you know? I actually attempted to commit suicide. I was going to jump down but there was a voice in my mind saying, ‘Don’t do it.’”

We said, “That’s the voice of God. His name is Jesus. He loves you and He is the One who protected you and preserved your life, because you are much more valuable than you know.”

He was going to cry... We shared the whole Gospel with him. He was almost going to receive Jesus, but due to his monotheistic belief, he said, “I need abit more time to process this.”

If we simply say “would you like to accept this Jesus?” without sharing the whole Gospel, I’m sure he will just receive in ignorance. The whole point of the Gospel is not to get someone to ignorantly say the so-called salvation prayer and think that he is saved. This is why we produce a feel-good Christianity. Everyone will say that they want Jesus unless we present the full Gospel. It is then that they realise receiving Jesus also means denying other gods, acknowledging the need for a Saviour because of sins and the reason for the Cross.

We told that guy, “Sure. Please do.” And we ministered to his left knee because God spoke. He went, “Wow. How did you know? I just had the problem yesterday.”

We chatted further. Before he left, he gave us a big tight hug.

The seed had been sown. I’m sure he walked away knowing the God of Love who encountered him and saved his life because He valued him. The Holy Spirit will grow the seed in him until he is ready to exchange his life with His life. When that happens, he will not be a feel-good Christian. He will be a steadfast and immoveable soldier that marches on relentlessly in the Kingdom. Jesus! 

Stopping for one person may change his life forever. You never know how one word from heaven can change the course of someone’s destiny. Look out for someone to bless when you go about your daily life. #xperiential #newageoutreach

Faith Is...

Faith is not a hit or miss. It is the Way of Life. If we fix our eyes on the Author and the Finisher of faith, who is unchanging, then faith is unchanging, unwavering, unshakeable, steadfast and immovable.

We are in a war between two kingdoms. By His Grace, I learnt to war years ago when I had an incurable autoimmune disease. The war has nothing to do with our strength. It has to be based on His finished works. If we don’t stay where He finished, we are finished.

The enemy knows that, and he’s trying his best to get us move from our victory ground. Apostle Paul said, “After you have done all, to stand.” It means that we are to stand firm and stay in the finished works of Christ. That’s faith.

For past two years or so, I was warring (staying in faith) against an affliction. I didn’t know the cause. Neither did I need to know. I didn’t visit any doctor. Neither did I do research on the internet to find out what the symptoms point to.

At least once to twice a week, I would have blurry & double visions, followed by severe headache. At times, the headache was so severe that I had to stop every activity and rest.

I didn’t share with anyone. Only my wife knew. For I had intended to war against it.

Throughout these two years, I continued to minister to the sick and saw them healed. If you are sick, minister to the sick. It doesn’t make us become hypocrites or make us feel condemned. It makes us true believers (Mark 16:17-18). I learnt that my identity has nothing to do with the affliction.

Occasionally, the carnal mind would speak. It sounded exactly like your own voice but it’s actually demonic in nature —— it comes from the enemy.

“Why don’t you just pop a panadol and resolve that?”

“Why don’t you go and see a doctor and find out what’s wrong?”

“You know what? It could be a brain tumour.”

I learnt that the spiritual mind doesn’t speak that way. So each time when I experienced the blurry visions or pain, or the voice from the carnal realm, I immediately turned it to thanksgiving. I thanked God that His finished works are finished and I’m so glad to be His son. I thanked Him for my identity, who I am in Him and who He is to me. I thanked Him for the Body and the Blood —- divine life and health.

It’s a war. But faith is unchanging and it doesn’t give up. It doesn’t strive and work. It rests on the goodness and faithfulness of God. For He is SO GOOD to you and me.

I don’t set my eyes on what I do not see visibly. I set my eyes on what I see invisibly —- Jesus Christ.

Faith is not a try. It is a far cry from a try. It is not a method which you apply and see if it works. If that is faith, then we are subjected to life circumstances, and vulnerable to the prince of the power of the air.

Faith is... the Way of Life. What does the symptoms have to do with my crucified life in Him? More often than not, we allow what we see (pain and circumstances) to overwhelm what He sees. We let what we are going through overwhelm what Christ has gone through. To seek first His kingdom includes letting what He went through take priority in our lives. My life is not my own. Jesus said that if we lose our lives for Him, we will find it. That encompasses looking beyond our own affliction. For the war is between the two kingdoms and it is nothing personal.

Then... I did not know when and I did not know how. This phrase seems to be quite common in my life when it comes to personal healing. I did not know when and I did not know how, but every symptom has left. I have not experienced anything for more than one or two months. Healing is real, so is Jesus!

Disclaimer: I am not advocating that anyone should not see a doctor or specialist. Neither am I telling anyone not to take medicine or carry on with the doctor’s prescription. In addition, I’m not saying that you should not ask fellow brothers and sisters to minister healing to you. We are one Body and we should support and encourage one another. My testimony is NOT a method for anyone to copy. It doesn’t ever work that way. Faith cannot be reduced to a method. I have my own personal conviction to war this thing, because I preach healing without compromise.

This sharing is meant to encourage us to look to the finished works of Christ in the midst of our trials. Jesus loves you. He is FOR you and He wants you healed. He doesn’t ever change His mind.

New Age Lady

A New Age Lady was drawn to us because she saw the cards we were using. She asked, “Where did you get these cards?”

She wanted to use the cards to do spiritual reading on one of our people. In other words, she wanted to challenge us.

We spoke up plainly and said, “We are Christians. We actually don’t depend on the cards. In fact, we threw away the whole manual, because we lean on the Holy Spirit to do reading.”

In such case, we intentionally put the cards aside. We looked at her and said, “You have back problem.” She said, “Yes, it has been hurting for ages.”

We said, “Because your spine is not straight.” She nodded, “Yes. It is not.”

We ministered to her and her spine was straightened and healed. She questioned, “What did you use? I could feel energy coming out.”

God spoke and we said, “5 years ago, you went into deep disappointment, and you began to search for hope and peace. In fact, that was the reason why you ended up in New Age.”

She nodded and said, “Yes, you are right. And I’m searching for hope and peace.”

We answered, “There is a greater hope than this. He is the Hope of glory. And there is a greater peace than this. His name is the Prince of peace. He is Jesus.”

We shared the Gospel with her. She was almost going to cross the line of faith to receive Him, but she said, “Let me have abit more time to search.”

Since we are not after salvation numbers for the sake of clocking another testimony (because we want genuine salvation), we told her that Jesus loves her and she could continue to discover more. The seed was sown and the Gospel was both demonstrated and presented. The harvest is on its way.

If the Gospel doesn’t include the Cross, and Jesus as the only Way, then it is a watered-down Gospel that pleases men (due to fear of men). It is better to have someone hear the Gospel and decide that he is not ready to accept, than to have someone hear a feel-good incomplete Gospel and accept it, thinking that he is saved (when he is not). 

We need to be unashamed of the Gospel, just like what apostle Paul preached.

Some believers are concerned with the cards we use. There are always different schools of thoughts. To each his own. But my personal stand and conviction is very clear - Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. We cannot afford to have any room for fear. What we touch is more powerful than what touches us. If it isn’t that way, then it is better not to go for massage or visit Chinese sinseh, because they are touching you.

The New Age must bow to the Rock of Ages because He is the Original, the Beginning and the End.

Our desire is that these people who genuinely seek for peace and hope, find the Prince of Peace and the Hope of Glory. Jesus! #xperiential #newageoutreach #rockofages

Your Conscience

Last afternoon, I was at my mum-in-grace’s place and my sis-in-grace offered me much herbal and tonic stuff.

Within an hour or so, I had home-made herbal chicken soup, home-made herbal longan drink and home-made bird nest.

Since I was young, I disliked herbal and tonic stuff. I don’t really like the taste. That’s why herbal bah kut teh, not matter how popular the stall is, will always be bad in my eyes. Teo Chew bah kut teh suits me better.

I also learnt from my parents since I was young, that herbal and tonic stuff are usually ‘heaty’ for the body. While some go after herbal and tonic stuff to build up the health of their bodies, I don’t.

Disclaimer: There is nothing wrong to take those stuff. It’s just my personal preference and personal conviction.

While I don’t like these stuff, I decided to drink all of them, because my sis-in-grace has been very kind to me and I didn’t wish to reject her kindness.

My conscience wasn’t doing so good as I was drinking them. The old man said, “Hey, why are you drinking so much of these stuff? Herbal chicken soup, herbal longan drink and bird nest. It’s heaty for your body, you know? Why are you taking so much? It’s not good for your body.”

(By the way, the ‘old man’ is not referring to my father-in-grace or an old man. It refers to the old nature before Christ. It’s the carnal mind.)

Cut the long story short, I felt discomfort with my throat, tongue and body that night. I woke up this morning feeling a tad unwell - throat, tongue and body. I felt chilly.

Now I haven’t felt this for a real long time, since the revelation of divine health. So I knew where the problem was. My conscience. Period.

While partaking the Holy Communion, I took my own sweet time to appreciate the Body and the Blood even though the order of service was already at the offering segment. I thanked Him that the Body removed every effect of sin & curse, and the Blood reversed them all so that I have what He has.

After that, I didn’t know when and how, and every symptom left completely.

And now, I just finished the whole packet of Dorito chips. I think potato chips are healthier than herbal and tonic products.

Your conscience is the benchmark for your faith. The Bible says that if you shipwreck your conscience, you shipwreck your faith. I can’t tell you how many times the conscience thing had given me victory in the area of health, and how some times it landed me in trouble.

Whatever that is received with thanksgiving is good and sanctified. But don’t go beyond your conscience. Either we grow it or we don’t go beyond it. It’s not a method. It’s a revelation. Jesus!

The Key To The Prophetic

Everyone is prophetic if you realise your identity as a son/daughter. The manifestations of the Spirit in 1 Cor 12 are not for the elite but for every believer because you are chosen, appointed and anointed by Christ.

Gifts are grown by trying.

Fruit is grown by trusting.

The reason why many believers do not walk in the manifestations of 1 Cor 12 is because they don't know that they can develop (try) what is already given to them --- the Holy Spirit who has ALL the gifts.

Having said that, there are always people who want the supernatural so much that they have gone weird, and sometimes flaky. You don't have to shout "fire, wind or water", shake your body/hands and manifest yourself in order for the power of God to move. If it is from God, you don't have to try so hard. If it is not, no matter what you do won't result in power. Stop trying to help God do what He can and will do. Many of the most powerful moments that I personally witnessed and experienced are gentle and quiet.

I cannot imagine Jesus doing that. Throughout the Gospel, He was supernaturally natural. He was normal. People were drawn to Him. He didn't go around shouting, "Fire of God! Wind of the Holy Spirit!" He was simply loving people wherever He went. The way He touched the leper must be so gentle that He left the leper healed not just physically, but also emotionally.

And we are called to be conformed to His image - which means 'all that He is'.

Many people want to go after many conferences and seminars to learn about moving in the prophetic gifts. I used to do that too. But I have learnt that the motivation to move in the prophetic empowers you more than the seminars you attend. In a nutshell, there is ONE simple KEY to the prophetic. It is not complicated. You don't need to attend a series of seminar to learn how to move in the prophetic.

Disclaimer: There is nothing wrong to desire to grow in the prophetic. But it is not for oneself. It is for others. It is not meant to exalt and lift up one's ego. It is meant to lift up others so that they know the God of Love and their God-created value.

But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I show you a STILL MORE EXCELLENT WAY. - 1 Cor 12:31 (emphasis added)

The word 'excellent' in Greek means 'beyond measure'. There is a way to grow in the prophetic beyond measure. It is THE WAY of LOVE (1 Cor 13).

If faith works through Love (Gal 5:6), it means that Love releases the confidence to walk in all that God has given to us --- including the prophetic.

Having reached out to thousands of people in the streets of Singapore as a lifestyle, I realise that whenever I pursue in loving someone, the prophetic flows out naturally. Words of knowledge, words of wisdom, prophecies and healings simply flow out when I focus on Love.

In that place, I don't need to worry if I have gotten a right word from God or whether I have heard God correctly or not. You don't prophesy accurately to feel good or feel affirmed. You are already affirmed by the Father because of Christ. And even if you heard wrongly, the desire to love a person will still touch his life and sow the kingdom into him. If you are just trying to gain the 'accuracy statistics of the prophetic', then you miss the point completely.

You don't minister to get a testimony FOR God.

You minister because you are the testimony FROM God.

The reason why miracles and the prophetic flow so easily in missions fields is because we love the people. The reason why we don't see the same results in Singapore is because we need to grow in loving our own people.

While believing can produce some results, only Love produces the right belief to have consistent results like Jesus. For He is LOVE. And He never changes wherever He goes.

There is ONE simple KEY to grow and move in the prophetic ------ LOVE. You will realise that when you go on to love someone in the streets, God will give you the flow of heaven's messages for the person you are reaching out to.

The Gospel is simple. Don't make it complicated.

Running Your Race

I was a marathon runner many years ago. I went for the full 42 km. The greatest motivation for perseverance and strength is to simply SET my eyes on my personal goal.

I had no time to look behind. I might trip and fall.

I couldn't be distracted to look to the sides. It would slow me down if I began to compare myself with them.

I had no strength to compete with the one ahead of me. If I were to force myself to get into his position, I would burn out before the finishing line.

Thus, I kept my eyes on my personal goal. I was running with thousands and thousands of people, but I had my own, personal race.

When running your race in the kingdom of God, there will always be people COMPETING with you, COMPLAINING about you and ACCUSING you. Some simply cannot take it when you are radical in the way you run the race.

You don't abide by their rules.

Your don't abide by their preferred standards.

You don't abide by whether it is good or bad in their eyes.

You only abide in HIM - Jesus. For it is the race He has given to you personally.

The best response is to KEEP RUNNING STRONG AND RUNNING WELL towards the finishing line of your own race.

Phil 1:6 - He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Ignore competition. Focus on completion.

Some asked, “If you reach the lost in the streets, how do you disciple and follow up with them?”

The truth is...

1) Jesus reached out to the multitudes but He could only disciple 12. You don’t have the capacity to disciple multitudes. If you can, there is a high chance you are not really discipling them.

2) The religious ones who asked such question usually don’t even reach out to the lost in the streets on a lifestyle basis.

3) Just because we can’t disciple someone does not mean we don’t reach out to him. If someone is dying physically in the streets, you want to do CPR in order to save him. However, you don’t have the capacity to follow up with him like a paramedic or a doctor. You won’t say, “Since I can’t follow up with him, I better don’t do CPR. Let him die.”

Similarly, if someone is dying spiritually in the streets, we want to share the Good News so that he can be saved. Whether we can follow up on him or not is a totally different issue from getting him saved.

4) Apparently, there is Someone called the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit who guides and the Spirit who teaches. He is able to cause anyone to grow through various ways, including linking him with someone who can disciple him. Don’t try to limit the work of God with the work of man. He is bigger. Some plant the seeds; some water; but it is He who brings the increase.

Religion tries to stop you from doing what is good to justify its lack. Love doesn’t stop and Love doesn’t give an excuse because Love never fails.

Wife’s Healing

I was driving when the sole of my left foot began to burn again. This time, the heat was so strong that I couldn’t feel my foot.

I turned to my wife and asked, “Your left foot?”

She said, “Yeah and yay! God wants to heal me now.”

As I ministered while driving, she felt warm at the sole of her left foot. Then she felt tingling. When she got out of the car, she was completely healed.

God is gracious. Because if the sole of my right foot “burns” that way, the vehicle may just take off like a bullet train. #familyhealing #moreLord

Sanctified Food In The Stomach

My wife and I both had stomach discomfort after lunch on Sunday. We ate the same food. Both of us also felt nausea and giddy.

So I put my hand on my stomach and thank God for the curry rice that we ate. If we can say Grace before we eat, we can also say Grace after we have eaten.

For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer. - 1 Tim 4:4

So I began to thank Him for the curry rice in my stomach. For whatever that is received with thanksgiving is sanctified and made good. Some people don’t believe in sanctifying your food, but I am one who believes that it can be set apart for my good.

After thanking Him for the curry rice in my body, every symptom left within a minute. Jesus!

Man-made food has a problem due to the fallen world. Therefore if we are looking at dieting and consuming only healthy food, we are setting our eyes on a failed system. The Cross has purchased for us Redemption. Redemption includes redeeming you from the “fallen” food. So if we put our trust in Christ, the food can be sanctified, for whatever that is from God is good. Jesus!

P.S: This is not an excuse to be a glutton.

Faith Appropriates Healing

And a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years, came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak; - Matt 9:20

In some translations, it says that the woman touched 'the hem of His garment.'

In the Greek, the word 'fringe' or 'hem' means 'tassel.' Tassels were made on the corners of the garment/cloak (known as 'Tallit') in the days of Jesus. Blue thread was woven in the tassels at the four corners. The tassels represent all the commandments of the Lord. (Num 15:37-40)

In the Hebrew, the tassel can also mean 'wing-like' projection. Some preachers assume that it can be translated as 'wing' and thus, they use Mal 4:2 to justify that when the woman touched the tassel of Jesus, she was touching 'the Sun of righteousness with healing in its wings.'

In my personal view, it is better to keep it simple within the explicit context of the Scriptures.

In the Old Covenant, if anyone obeys ALL the commandments of the Lord, the Lord will be his Healer. (Exo 15:26)

No one had ever fulfilled all the commandments of the Lord, except one Person. He is none other than Jesus. Jesus was the only High Priest wearing the Tallit and tassels, who completely obeyed ALL the commandments. In other words, Jehovah Rapha was with Him (Exo 15:26). He was the Man of God who had the God of Man living IN Him and through Him.

When the woman touched the tassel of Jesus' Tallit, she was literally touching the promise of God ---- healing, because of Jesus' fulfilled commandments. She had access to healing because Jesus had access to heaven (the promises of God) through His total obedience to the Law.

What's interesting is this... Jesus was not even ministering to her. Yet she was healed because of her faith in Him to heal her (Matt 9:20-21).

Her faith was placed on the Man of God who is also the God of Man.

In the New Covenant, the Man of God is no longer one but many (John 12:24) ---- that includes every single believer. The God of Man now lives IN every man of God, because of one Perfect Man's complete obedience to the Law (Matt 5:17; Rom 5:19). Every believer is 'wearing' the tassels of the Tallit within us, because of Christ's finished works on the Cross.

In other words, a person can be healed by placing his faith in the Man of God (us) who has the God of Man in him. Because faith appropriates healing. The sick can touch you and be healed because Jehovah Rapha lives in you.

This is why when someone is healed, it may not necessary be the minister who believes. It can be the sick who believes. Because faith appropriates healing. This keeps us humble because without Jesus, none of this can ever happen.

Disclaimer: Anyone can go straight to Jesus for healing. But God, in His grace, allows the Man of God who has the God of Man to represent Him for the sake of those who don't know how to approach Him directly. It is then important for the Man of God to point people to the God of Man so that they, too, become Men of God.

A couple sat down and we asked if the lady experienced tightness on her left shoulder. She nodded and we ministered healing.

The guy picked a blessing card. Our eyes were drawn to the peace of mind.

Then we asked, “Is there a L or Lee?” The guy said, “That’s my surname. I’m Lee.” We said, “There is a financial promotion coming and you are going to see an increase in salary. Does that ring a bell?” The lady was shocked and looked at him.

He said, “Yes. It rings many bells.” Because he was indeed getting a promotion.

We said, “But your mind is stressed over your work, because of the pressure that comes from your boss. There are too many politics going on at where you are. New Age Outreach Part 4

A man came and sat at the booth. He picked a blessing card. Our eyes were drawn to a small rock that the lady sat on.

We saw the letter ‘M’ and we asked, “Does the letter M mean anything? It’s a name starting with ‘Me’ something.” 

He named his brother and said, “That’s my brother.” We said, “And your relationship with him isn’t good.” He replied, “He just moved out of the family last week. Yes, it isn’t good.” 

We added, “God wants to restore that relationship. In fact, you don’t have a heart of stone. You have a heart of flesh. One that is so tender and soft. One that naturally wants to love people and care for them. But your family situation has been draining you. And it has caused you to be hardened. Now people cannot get close to you. You will only relate to them on surface but you won’t let anyone come into your heart. The moment someone draws closer, you will immediately retreat. But God is going to heal your hurt right now and restore your heart that is tender and loving.” 

He was pretty surprised and kept nodding, saying that it is very true.

New Age Outreach Part 3

A Turkish lady came to the booth.

She picked a blessing card. The waters ‘lighted’ up and suddenly we ‘saw’ rushed waters in the family. We looked at her in the eyes and said, “There is tension going on in your family. Relationships in the family are no good. The one who caused this tension is your father.” 

She nodded and confirmed, saying, “That’s interesting.” We ‘saw’ her speaking peace into the situation. So we said, “But you are placed there for a reason. Because God has put you there to bring reconciliation. You are the one who can speak to your father.” She nodded and asked how exactly we ‘did’ these stuff.

Hence we shared Christ with her. She was here for a holiday but she’s bringing back a new message for her family. Jesus! #xperiential #newageoutreach

Customer Service Officer Healed On The Phone

Was calling a customer service officer on the phone to check on an important information for Power and Love.

Then God spoke and I asked, "Do you experience tightness on your shoulder? Towards the left side."

She laughed and said shyly (because phone conversation is usually recorded for training purpose), "Erm... Ya. How did you know?"

Cut the long story short. She felt tinging all over her left shoulder (because the Holy Spirit travels faster than the phone signal) and she got healed. And I said "Jesus loves you."

She kept laughing and was very surprised. Probably it was the first time she encountered a weirdo ministering to her on the phone while she's providing customer service.

When you know your identity, there is no place and no platform where you cannot walk in power and love. Over the years, we have seen countless healed in Singapore in almost all kinds of situations and locations, even while peeing in the toilet.

New Age Outreach Part 2 - Right Words

Another lady came to the booth. She sat down and chose a blessing card. Our eyes are drawn to “right words” in the card.

We asked, “Do you have a stomach issue that keeps recurring?” At first, she denied. Then she said, “Yes, I have.” So we ministered healing.

Then we said, “You are very transparent in your words, because that is who you are made to be. But people around you don’t understand that. Even your close friends do not appreciate who you are. As a result, you have learnt to shut down that part of you. Now you always wonder what you should say before you even say it, for fear of how others think about you. Your real self is to speak from your heart. But now you don’t.” Her eyes began to be teary.

We said, “In fact, that’s how your past two relationships ended. Because the two guys didn’t value you and didn’t appreciate your frankness. That affected you so much that you are no longer the joyous person you used to be. But God is going to restore that now.” She was going to cry and she said, “I only had two relationships... and they didn’t let me be who I am.” We shared Christ with her and her value in Him. Due to the complexity of her faith, she tried to explain off how we knew the details in her life, because she was shaken in her own faith.

But we are not there to debate truth. We are there to present truth. The seed is sown and that’s more important than pushing someone to say a salvation prayer. Because we are not chasing after numbers. We are going after real salvation. People need to encounter truth and be shaken in their faith so that they will come to the Truth. It is believing in Christ that saves them, not saying a prayer. There is no salvation prayer in the Bible by the way. Fruit that lasts is real fruit. 

When the person walks away, the Holy Spirit will continue the work. And she will realise that she just had a face to face encounter with God. Jesus! #xperiential #newageoutreach

Redeeming for The Kingdom - New Age Outreach

During one of my night classes, I noticed that there are many pubs, New Age & tattoo shops around this area. And I thought, “Why not? This is where the kingdom wants to manifest.”

If the New Age is attracting people because they are seeking for an answer, we should be even more attractive because we hold the Answer to all things.

I went to one of the New Age shops and bought a deck of cards. Some good meaning believers warned me about the danger of these cards. But the Word says that ‘Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.’ If apostle Paul could use relevant things to direct people to the true Source, we can use what is relevant to the New Age to direct them to the true Source. The cards themselves are neutral. It is not about WHAT we use. It is about HOW we use. We come in the Spirit of Truth and the Spirit who guides. He is the Holy Spirit.

We did a briefing to educate the believers before we began. Fear will keep us from knowing the truth. Yet it is only when you know the truth that you will be set free. The tools are not important. What’s important is our reliance on the Holy Spirit. The booth itself attracted many to come.

Towards the end, we saw everyone who joined this outreach beginning to minister to the people who came. Most of the believers did it for the first time. Because when they realise that a normal believer can do it, so can they. It’s the same Holy Spirit. And that’s the purpose of this outreach - people getting empowered to do what a normal believer can do.

A lady saw what we were doing. She saw people getting touched and healed. I looked at her and said, “Come over.” She said, “I’m so tempted to come.” We said, “Come. It’s free.”

She sat down and chose this card. We asked, “You have a problem with your shoulder. Towards the left.”

She said, “How the f**k did you know? Oops sorry for using that word.”

We ministered healing. The sword lighted up. So we said, “You portray yourself as such a strong woman. You carry your words with strength and people around you see you as someone independent, with strong character. You are seen as a capable woman. But you are not. It was relationship with your father as a child that made you become who you are not. You don’t hold a sword. You have a very tender and compassionate heart that you refuse to portray to others. But there is a restoration coming to your heart, so that you can be who you really are.”

She exclaimed, “All that you said is true. It is so so true!”

We saw a wedding ring in a vision and we said, “And you were engaged but it broke off. So the marriage didn’t come to pass.”

She went, “Oh my gosh! Yes.”

We said, “Go slow in the new relationship.” She said, “Oh yes I’m just seeing someone lately and I’m still figuring out if he is the one.”

We said, “There is a Perfect Man who is pursuing you. And His name is Jesus.”

We ministered healing to her heart and shared Christ with her. Apparently she is also a believer.

If Christians are going for spiritual reading, it shows something —- they are not getting their answer from the God they know and they are seeking for an answer from any god that they do not know.

If we don’t redeem this for the Kingdom, it is not just normal people going after such spirituality. Even Christians are going after it.

Many people are hungry. We just need to point them to the One who will feed them. 

By the way, this is not New Age or occult. They are simply counterfeits. Our Source is Jesus. We are just using what is relevant for redemption. Jesus!

P.S: We don’t use any of the instruction or the guide. It’s to be discarded.

Phone Healing (Voice Healing)

Did a phone healing with someone whose BP was high. The BP normalised after that. Jesus!

There is no limit to how God heals. If the New Age Reiki healing can send the spirit guide to release healing from a far distance, the Holy Spirit (Who is Omnipresent) can release healing anywhere and anytime.

If Jesus were to live in our generation, He would probably minister healing to multitudes through various media & telecom platforms.

The Way of Love

If faith works through Love, it means that for us to walk in the consistency of what Christ had in the Gospel (every single one was healed), we need to grow in Love.

Believing can see some results of healing.

But only Love produces the right belief to see consistent results of healing.

This is why 1 Cor 13 (Love) is the more 'excellent' way as compared to 1 Cor 12 (Gifts). In Greek, it means 'beyond measure, exceedingly, preeminently'. The way to see consistency 'beyond measure, exceedingly and preeminently' is the way of Love.

Every cancer shall be crushed every time.

When I first watched "Fingers of God" in 2008 (which I accidentally or God-incidentally found in the internet and thus imported the VCD), I knew deep inside that every believer can do this. It sparked something in my heart. Then in 2009, I saw Todd White's Youtube video on healing and I said to myself, "If he can do it, so can I, because we have the same Holy Spirit."

Fingers of God (2007 by Darren Wilson) is probably the first movie that reveals how every single believer can walk in power and love, because Christ IN you is the Hope of glory. I encourage you to watch it.

Jesus Never Did A Conference

“Jesus never did a conference.”

My wife said that. And I know God is speaking powerfully through her.

We talked about stuff, equipping and multiplication. She simply shared what Jesus did in the Gospel —— which is what I believed in. She said, “Don’t come out from an institution to start another organisation. There is no difference if you try to do that. Just do what you are already doing and don’t be swayed. If you impact two lives and those two lives impact another two lives each, and keep on keeping on, that will be real multiplication. Because it’s about real lifestyle change.”

It really resonated with my heart. So good! Well, God is speaking (often) through our spouse. And tonight, at this hour, He is rebuking... I mean... reminding me and confirming what I believe through my wife. What a great helper God has given to me. Yay Jesus!

Own Family’s Healing

I was driving when the sole of my left foot was suddenly on fire. So I turned to my wife and asked, “Is your left foot having a problem?”

She said, “Yes. The heel area is painful.”

I prayed for her. She said, “Thank You Jesus. He wanna heal me.”

She tested it out and she is indeed healed. Yay God. #ownfamilyhealing

In the past, I was taught that if I want to see a change in culture, what I preach on the pulpit is the key.

But Jesus taught us that if we want to see a change in culture, how we LIVE our lives IN the community is the KEY. Not the pulpit.

The Great Commission is “to make disciples of all nations... teaching them to OBSERVE all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Some translations say “teaching them to obey all things...” That is not accurate. It’s easy to teach people to obey. But it’s different to teach people to observe.

The word “observe” in Greek and in context is “to observe”. How can people observe the things that were taught by Jesus?

Only when we LIVE those things out, so that they can observe our lives. Not when we preach on pulpit. 

That’s true discipleship.

Gospel Of The Kingdom

If the Gospel of the Kingdom is our main priority, then your job is secondary. If you don’t know which job you should take, then just grab one, and manifest Christ.

You don’t see anyone praying, “Father, which job should I take?” in the New Covenant. If the Gospel of the Kingdom is dependent on the job you take, then it is a weak Gospel.

I have nothing against the 7 mountains of society. But the same Gospel in the book of Acts is powerful enough to work through all mountains. Regardless of our job, manifest Christ, for it is the Gospel of the Kingdom.

Prophecy

Prophecy often doesn’t show you what has yet to happen. It shows you what has already happened so that you can believe for what has yet to happen.

If it is for edification, exhortation and comfort (1 Cor 14:3-4), then everyone can prophesy anytime based on the Word.

You can prophesy anytime to someone who need finances, “God is going to pour out His financial blessing on you.”

You can prophesy anytime to someone who need healing, “God is going to heal you.”

You can prophesy anytime to someone who need peace, “God is releasing His peace on you so that you walk above the storm.”

You can even go very specific because it gives the recipient faith to believe for what you said.

It is giving a “now” Word based on the truth in the Word, so that the recipient has faith. For faith comes by hearing and hearing from the Word of God. When faith arises, the recipient positions himself to receive the promise from the prophecy (which is simply a timeless truth in the Word).

You can call it a self-fulfilled prophecy, because it happens when you mix the Word (prophecy) with faith. (Heb 4:2)

Prophecy shows what has already happened on the Cross (healing, providence, peace, etc). It serves to give a boost to someone’s faith so that he can believe God for what has yet to happen in his situation.

Righteous & No Condemnation

Condemnation is not from the enemy. Neither is it from God. 

It is from our heart (1 John 3:20). Only accusation is from the enemy. He accuses you so that your heart condemns you.

Accusation -> Condemnation -> Fear -> Stress

But because Jesus died on our behalf and rose again (Romans 8:34) to prove that He fully paid off all our sins, we are free from any condemnation (Romans 8:1) of our heart, because we are made righteous and thus, free from all accusations from the enemy. There is no more guilt and shame left.

Righteous -> No Accusation -> No Condemnation -> Faith (Confidence) -> Rest

1 John 3:21-22 - Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him...

Righteousness, therefore, is the foundation to receive all that God has blessed us with.

Each time when the enemy tries to accuse you, say “Thank you for reminding me that I am righteous.” (Romans 8:33)

Each time when your heart feels like condemning you, say “Thank you for reminding me that Jesus died and paid for that. Phew!”

Apparently, it is not just the Holy Spirit who reminds you all things. The enemy also helps to remind you how righteous you are. 谢谢你啊！

School of Power and Love 2018 Part 2

Was at home storage reception office. Spoke to the staff attending me.

I said, “Your left wrist has injury and pain?” He asked, “You remember me?” I said, “No. This is my first time meeting you.” He said, “How did you know?”

Then I ministered to his wrist and said, “You like freedom. You cannot be constrained by people. You don’t like to be kept in a box. Because your mind is wired to be free & creative.” He nodded, “That’s very true.”

I saw in a vision, so I continued, “You have a tiger tattoo?” He said, “Yes, it’s on my back.”

“At the age of 3, you got lost and became very fearful. This is why you went for a tiger tattoo.”

I saw the word ‘rival’ and I said, “Your relationship with your sibling is really no good.”

He said, “On paper, I have a sibling. But I don’t have relationship with my sibling.”

He kept asking, “How did you know these? How did you know?”

I shared Jesus with him and he nodded in agreement. He used to attend church but no longer went. 

Today, church was brought before him, because Jesus pursued and loved him. It’s not about attending church. It’s about knowing who Christ is.

Christ IN you is the hope of glory. Christ through you is the manifestation of glory. When you know who is IN you, you know who can be THROUGH you.

What happens if 1500-2000 Singaporeans walk in this daily lifestyle, everywhere they go? There is no intentional time set aside for ministry because if your life IS the ministry, ministry flows out of you everywhere you go.

School of Power and Love Dec 2018

Walked past one of the EC cleaners and began to minister to her.

Asked her if she had pain on her left shoulder and she said yes. I stood there without touching her and she suddenly felt heat all over her shoulder and she got completely healed. Then I said, “You have three siblings. And your father does not favour you.”

She nodded and said, “Yes. I have three siblings and we are from different mothers. My father does not like me.”

I said, “But God sees you as the apple of His eyes (because I saw that vision). He’s saying that you are her favourite daughter. Really. You really are the apple of His eyes.”

Her eyes welled up. And I shared Jesus with her. She is a M.

I’ll have another opportunity to speak into her life about Christ, since she is working here.

You don’t have to wait for another outreach ministry. Your outreach ministry is the people around you. In your normal daily routine, people get to know the Jesus you know. Jesus!
