How To Get Someone Saved Wrongly Part 6

How To Get Someone Saved Wrongly Part 6

The Gospel that Jesus preached has repentance as the central message because He represented the King and His Kingdom.

However, no one had the power to obey and walk in His Kingdom.

This is why He had to be crucified, died, raised and ascended.

After Jesus rose from the dead, He told His disciples to preach 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 (unto) 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐬. Now the Gospel of the Kingdom must include both 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍!

On the day of Pentecost, Peter preached the Gospel to the Jews. While the Greeks were also present (Acts 2:8-11), Peter was specifically addressing the Jews in his speech (Acts 2:22), because he thought that the Gospel was meant for the Jews. He had the Jews in mind when he preached from Acts 2:14-36.

When the Jews heard Peter preach, they were cut to the heart and decided to respond to the Gospel.

Peter said, "𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭 and 𝐛𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 every one of you 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 for the 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐬, and you will 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭." - Acts 2:38

The Jews already heard Jesus preaching the Kingdom earlier. Remember, the Bible is ONE CONNECTED STORY. You must not separate them. The Jews understood what repentance meant when Peter said it. It's 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐝𝐨𝐦.

Over here, we see both 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 (forgiveness of sins) preached by Peter. That's the Gospel of the Kingdom after the resurrection of Christ!

On side note, TRUE BELIEVING in the Gospel must lead to baptism and receiving of the Holy Spirit. Those are faith put into action. It proves salvation.

In the next part, we will look at Paul preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom. It is consistent!
