How To Get Someone Saved Wrongly Part 5

How To Get Someone Saved Wrongly Part 5

The Gospel that Jesus preached has repentance as the central message because He represented the King and His Kingdom.

However, no one had the power to obey and walk in His Kingdom. This is why He had to be crucified, died, resurrected and ascended.

After He was resurrected, He gave the command to His disciples to preach the Gospel.

...and thus 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐬 should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. - Luke 24:46-47

It was necessary for Jesus to go through every event: from crucifixion to ascension, because it did something for us, without which, we would not be able to obey the Gospel of the Kingdom (2 Thes 1:8; Heb 5:9)

Note: In the NT epistles, believing and obeying are two sides of the same coin. It is impossible to believe and not obey. This is why they often use the term "obeying the truth" and "obey the Gospel". In other ways, true salvation is about believing which results in obeying. Yes, it's by grace through faith, and not by works. His grace empowers us to believe, and if we believe, we will obey.

𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐱𝐢𝐨𝐧: Jesus had to be crucified in order to redeem us from the curse of the Law (Gal 3:13; Deut 21:23). There is no other way.

𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡: Jesus had to die for the remission of our sins (Heb 9:22; Rom 4:25). Without the shedding of blood, there cannot be forgiveness.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Jesus had to be raised for our justification and the gift of righteousness (Rom 4:25; Rom 5:17). Otherwise, we would still be living in sin, despite having forgiveness.

𝐀𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: Jesus had to be ascended in order for the Father to send the Holy Spirit ------ the power to obey the Gospel of the Kingdom (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8).

After Jesus rose from the dead, He told His disciples to preach 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 (unto) 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐬. Now the Gospel of the Kingdom must include both 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍!

What kind of Gospel do we share with others?

In the next part, we will look at how apostles Peter and Paul preached the Gospel.
