The first parable that Jesus ever spoke is the most important parable among all His parables. He said that if you don't understand this parable, you won't understand the rest (Mark 4:13).
He talked about understanding the Kingdom (Matt 13:11-12). And the key to understanding is our heart.
All the keys of the Kingdom have been given to us through Christ. But we only receive through understanding (Matt 13:11). For those without, they don't receive (aka 'not given').
Matt 13:15 - 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞'𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐥, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦.’
When we read the Word, while we use both eyes and ears to see and hear, what matters is our heart ------ we must see with our heart and hear with our heart. Only by that will we understand.
The moment we understand, we receive (aka 'I would heal them'). Everything in the Kingdom has already been given by God through Christ. He is not withholding anything from you. He is not withholding healing from you.
Just because we are not receiving does not mean that He is not giving. It's because we lack understanding.
Every receiving problem is an understanding problem. If we don't understand with our heart, we cannot receive.
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of His own accord, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. - Jn 5:19
This passage, when connected with the Parable of the Sower in Matthew 13, gives us an understanding of what the Son saw.
The charismatic holy cows often misinterpret this verse. They say, "Jesus sees what the Father does. So He does likewise."
They say, "I don't see God doing it yet. So I don't do. I only do what I see Him do."
What Jesus meant in John 5:19 is that He '𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭' what the Father is doing. He 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐬 with His heart. He was not literally seeing the Father spitting saliva on the ground and making mud to heal the man born blind.
He UNDERSTOOD with His heart that it is always the Father's will to heal. With that understanding, He can use any means to heal.
Instead of behaving like typical Singaporeans going after more and more seminars, conferences, meetings, etc. to get more knowledge and revelation, what we need to focus on is getting understanding with our heart. Without understanding, you cannot receive.
