Discipleship

Was having my lunch when I overheard the conversation between two guys talking about discipleship. The shepherd was apparently 'discipling' the sheep by going through a Christian book.

In our modern Christianity, discipleship often takes place in one-on-one meeting. Discipleship in our context is about intelligence and talks. Make no mistake. I was one of them in the past.

In the olden times, discipleship was about showing and demonstrating the works of God. Jesus didn't focus on talking and teaching. His teachings over the dining table were meant to reinforce what He has shown and demonstrated in real life.

Perhaps we need to remove table-cum-meeting discipleship, thinking that it is discipleship when it is not. It's merely a discussion on discipleship that does not reach the heart.

Discipleship must be about showing and demonstrating how to live His life on earth.

Egypt Must Get Out Of Us

https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSCTLqyJu

I'm not the only one observing this. Many Singaporeans have feeble legs.

This might be explanable logically like what this Japanese guy shared.

Yet it is beyond logical. It is spiritual.

The Israelites had the same issue when they were under slavery in Egypt.

Following the night of Passover, when Israelites left Egypt, there was NONE feeble. This is because God Himself delivered Israel out of slavery and revealed Himself as Jehovah Rapha.

Today, Singapore is under slavery. Under a bondage. We won't recognise it if we continue to read mainstream information and follow the mainstream's mindset.

To have the Kingdom's mindset, we must view from the Kingdom's perspective. If we can't see that Singaporeans are enslaved like Israelites in Egypt, then perhaps we haven't understood the Kingdom of God.

Not only do we need to get out of Egypt, Egypt must get out of us.

His Presence Moves After You Move

His Presence Moves After You Move

In the Old Covenant, God said, "I will go BEFORE you." Thus, He sent forth His Spirit before His people. His presence was always ahead of them.

In the New Covenant, God said, "I am with you always." His Spirit now lives in us. His presence is always with us.

Thus, where we go, He goes. Because we carry His presence.

But in reality, it is not meant to be purely positional. It is meant to be experiential. His presence encompasses all of His promises (2 Cor 1:20; Gal 3:14).

Since the promised Spirit is received by grace through faith (Gal 3:14), it takes the same equation for every aspect of our lives where we need Him to show up and fulfill "I am with you always."

That is... Faith.

Where we go, He goes.

In other words, we have to step out first. That's faith. His presence follows faith.

We don't wait for God to move by Grace. He already did. Now He waits for us to move by Faith.

You need healing? You step out first.
You need finances? You step out first.
You need peace? You step out first.
You need deliverance? You step out first.
You need relationship to be restored? You step out first.

When you move in faith, God fulfills "I am with you always".

This is why Matt 28:20 comes after Matt 28:19. The passage says "AND behold, I am with you always..."

This means that God FOLLOWS after what we have acted in faith. This is the New Covenant equation.

Resting in God is not inactivity. It is faith-activity trusting that God will follow through with His Presence.
