You Are Not Alone
Was reading Romans 11 last morning and was reminded of this passage.
โLord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and But what is God's reply to him? - Romans 11:3-5
There is a small handful of believers in SG who might feel that they are alone. Elijah experienced that and went into depression. Until God strengthened him.
We can learn not to fall into depression by David's example ----- David strengthened himself in the Lord, when everyone and every situation was against him.
However, if you feel that you are alone and are unable to stand, take heart, for just as God told Elijah that He had reserved 7000 men, so too, at the present time, God reserved a remnant by His grace.
While the context of this passage is about Israel and her salvation, the principle applies to God's grace for the elect.
There are many pockets of individual standing alone today, of the Kingdom but not of any institution. I believe that it's important to get connected as a remnant so that we can stand strong collectively.
We will need one another in time to come when distress and other situations listed in Romans 8:35 arise.
We are already seeing this powerfully in non-believers in our present situation, as they gather to support one another due to distress. The resources and ideas are amazing. I'm privileged to see their love packed with action and risks, while we believers simply preach love but walk in separation and fear.
If we are still not awakened, it's time to question ourselves if we have been doing religion and living as zombies or living the faith.
