What Happens To You Does Not Change The Word

What Happens To You Does Not Change The Word

"So and so prayed for me, but nothing changes."

"So and so are full of faith, yet they still experienced this."

"So and so tithed faithfully and they encountered God's blessings."

More often than not, we tend to look at what others are going through to determine what God could be like. Nothing is further from the truth.

The Psalmist said, "Lord God of Israel, don’t let what happens to me be the source of confusion to those who are passionate for you." - Ps 69:6 (TPT)

What happens to you and others does not change who God is. It does not interpret God's nature. It does not represent the Truth. It does not reveal what the Word says and what the Word means.

Experiences cannot alter the Word. Only the Word can alter experiences. And if our experiences do not line up with the Word, we need to get into the Word so deeply that the Word becomes our experiences.

God is not what you say He is. God is not what happens to you or others. God is not what your experiences say. God is what the Word says. He changes not. He is the same forever. He is more predictable than you think He is, because He keeps His Word and is always faithful to His Word.

There is a reason why the Bible tells us to 'Fix our eyes on Jesus'. Jesus is the Word made flesh. We fix our eyes on the Word. It doesn't matter what others are going through. It doesn't matter what you are going through. What matters is what Christ has gone through.

Only what He went through should define our experiences. Only the Word should define our experiences.

Don't Confuse The Old With The New

In the Old, God walked with Adam.
In the New, God walks IN you and through you.

In the Old, God moved before Israel moved.
In the New, God moves when you move.

In the Old, God is with you.
In the New, God is IN you.

In the Old, God came with visitations.
In the New, God comes with habitation.

We keep getting confused in our preaching when we don't understand what the New means. The most powerful gift that God has given to believers is to be ONE with us.

Christ IN you was supposed to be a mystery in times past. But it has been revealed through the Epistles in the Bible.

Today, many of us are still living as though it is still a mystery.

Don't mix the Old with the New. You cannot put new wine into old wineskins. You are a NEW creation. It's not just a good old Bible quotation. It is a powerful reality.

Perhaps we should stop slamming pulpits that talk about the NEW when we are the ones who are confused with covenants.

Every church can over-emphasize in an area. That doesn't make the church heretic. It just means that no church is perfect. Otherwise, so many churches that preach mixed covenants are also heretic, because it's not the Bible.

God is bigger than our imperfection. The fact that God is still using church institutions already proves that He is bigger than our mistakes and imperfection. For His desire is Kingdom.

The fact that God is still using big ego, self-pumped pastors who love attention is the same proof. Because if He can use a donkey to prophesy, there is no one He cannot use.

Controlling spirit is not from God because He allows more freedom in the Body of Christ than you think is possible. Yes, either extreme is bad. You can be so submissive that you obey leaders blindly, or you can be so rebellious that you refuse to listen to anything they say.

When we know how to obey the Holy Spirit, we will know when to obey leaders and when to disobey them. Because God Himself is our Chief Shepherd and Spiritual Covering. And most importantly, both you and Him are ONE.

We Dominate What We Don't Tolerate

We dominate what we don't tolerate.

Whatever we tolerate in our lives, we lose dominion power over that area. What we tolerate, we don't dominate.

Frustration is not a bad emotion. Emotions are neutral and God-given so that we know the position where we are at. Frustration is a sign of intolerance towards something.

Since the word 'dominion' in Greek means 'power exerting itself in a particular jurisdiction', we can direct our frustration and take dominion over what we are frustrated with, through the power of God.

Few days ago, I experienced some pain on my left hip area. I didn't know why it was there. I actually ignored it for a few days, thinking that it would go away. But it didn't. I got frustrated and took dominion over it last night. Today, I woke up and it's gone.

You dominate what you don't tolerate.

This is not just limited to healing, but for every area in the Kingdom.

Sometimes, we can be so used to something that we no longer get frustrated over it. For example, I have been wearing glasses since young. It has become a part of me. I don't feel frustrated over it. I should. But it hasn't gotten to that point where I don't tolerate it.

I have ministered to people and they got healed from shortsightedness. But I have not fully taken dominion over my own shortsightedness. I had tried to live without glasses for two days. I entered the lift and I couldn't find the lift buttons to the level that I needed to go LOL.

I couldn't see many things. I acted so weird, that my wife felt embarrassed haha. But I didn't persist through, because I tolerated it. Perhaps it's time to get fed-up again.

If a stranger enters your house, you will drive him out. If a stranger has become your friend, you will let him stay in your house.

Well, you and I are the 'house' of God. If your body feels different, you need to get frustrated and take dominion over it. Drive out the stranger.

If you have been living with it since many years ago (like my shortsightedness), and the 'stranger' has become your 'friend', it's not easy, but I believe it can still be done.

Many believers allow flu and cold to be their best friend. They called it the 'common flu'. Just because it is common for majority does not mean that it has to be common to you. Most believers lose dominion in the area of flu. They saw many healings, but they couldn't heal a flu. It's not that difficult. We need to get frustrated with it in order to take dominion over it.

Here's the thing. Get frustrated quickly when a stranger comes. The faster we are intolerant towards it, the more effective our dominion is.

We dominate what we don't tolerate.

Good Days Begin With Good Words

Good Days Begin With Good Words

1 Peter 3:10 - 'Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit..."

If we want to see good days, it depends on our tongue. What we say determines what we see.

The word 'evil' means 'bad in the widest sense'. It includes everything that is contrary to what is good. Whatever word that proceeds from our mouth, as long as it is not good (according to God), it is evil.

The word 'deceit' means untrue. Whatever we say that is not in line with God's nature, it is considered 'deceit'.

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Therefore, what we say reveals what is in our heart. If our heart has unbelief, we will speak evil (bad) and deceit (untrue of God's nature). If we speak evil and deceit, it proves that our heart has unbelief.

Sin is caused, first and foremost, by our tongue. The only way to turn away from evil and do good (1 Peter 3:11) is to begin with speaking good and true (of God's nature).

Jesus committed no sin, neither was deceit found in His mouth. - 1 Peter 2:22

Jesus is the Lover of Life, because He is The Life and the Giver of Life. His words are always good and always true. Therefore, He did not sin.

If we want to see good days, it begins with our tongue. This is the simplest yet hardest for us.

We sow into our days by our tongue. Evil (bad) words lead to evil days. Good words lead to good days. God doesn't change our world. He changes our spirit, so that we can change our words. And when we change our words, we change our world.
