21-Day Fast 2023

This year of 21-day full fast has nothing spectacular. In fact, we shouldn't be looking for the spectacular, for that is not the purpose of fasting.

Fasting is simply for the purpose of keeping the crucified man in the grave and focusing on the New Man in Christ. Nothing more and nothing less. For everything has already been given through Christ and there is nothing else that we can earn from God or get rewarded because of fasting.

It is by grace through faith. That's Christianity.

This yearly fast is for me to re-align myself to the New Man.

Can You Depart From The Faith?

Can You Depart From The Faith?

The Bible isn't very clear about whether you can lose your salvation or not. It is not as straightforward to simply quote Scriptures and say that 'Once saved, always saved'.

Neither is it easy to simply quote Scriptures and say, "You can walk out of your salvation and lose it.'

I have studied thoroughly through the Scriptures and heard different teachings. Each school of thoughts may sound very confident and convincing, but they could not explain the literal translation of some Scriptures.

There are still many questions centering around those Scriptures where it is hard to find an explicit answer.

One thing I know is this... the early church focused on discipleship. Once someone gets saved, he gets discipled to continue the journey of faith. There is no turning back. He keeps on running the race, thus there is no need to question if you can walk out of your salvation. The early church didn't need to question that because they set their face on following Christ.

On another note, the Scriptures do talk about departing from the faith, which is not necessarily about losing your salvation.

Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons... - 1 Tim 4:1

This reveals that even believers can turn away from Christ if they go into the doctrines of demons. However, I believe that this can easily be dealt with. Anything that has to do with demons is easy. What is difficult is worldly possessions.

But those 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡 fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 is a root of all kinds of evils. 𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 that 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 and pierced themselves with many pangs. - 1 Tim 6:9-10

When one desires to be rich, he is putting himself on the path of wandering away from the faith. It is very subtle, because most people will use their family as an excuse.

My company always teaches, "At the end of the day, why are you working so hard to earn more money? It's all for your family." The statement sounds true, but the intent comes from a lie. How much is enough? And what is contentment? When there are many top sales agents in a company, who benefits from it, whether in reputation or monetarily?

For this reason, so many agents departed from the faith in the way they handle people in the business. For this reason, they work so hard and go after luxurious, material things. For this reason, they neglect their family life. For this reason, they push clients to buy new launch properties at a high price. For this reason, the conscience has been seared and they start believing that what they have wrongly believed in is true and great.

Departing from the faith is more subtle than we think. It is in our daily pursuit that reveals if we are heading in the wrong direction.

Deliverance Part 4

Deliverance Part 4

Knowing that you have been delivered is actually the deliverance that you need in your life.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐬. - Col 1:13-14

Many believers are still waiting for another deliverance session to become free. You are not trying to get free. You are already free if you realise who you are in Christ.

Because of what Christ did on the Cross, you have been released from the past. You have been released from the trauma and the bad memories.

When you are redeemed from something, you are released into a new position. What you are redeemed from no longer has any hold on you.

For you to experience the freedom that was already given to you, you need to know the forgiveness of sins. The word 'forgiveness' comes from the Greek word 'aphiemi', which means 'to send away' such that it never returns again.

The forgiveness of sins includes ALL --- what others did to you, what you did to others and what you did to yourself. You cannot pick and choose which sin is forgiven and which sin is not.

When you make a decision by faith (we are called to live by faith) to forgive the person who caused you the trauma; and to forgive yourself for being the victim (or as a wrongdoer), you are positioning yourself to receive the freedom-experience.

Only when you understand what Christ did for the remission of sins will you be able to release that forgiveness upon others and yourself.

When Christ delivered you from the domain of darkness and transferred you to His kingdom, you lost the rights to hold onto unforgiveness.

Deliverance is not a ministry session. It is knowing the truth which makes you free (John 8:32).

Food That Are Good

At Creation, every food created for Adam and Eve was good. They were mainly vegetarians (Gen 1:29).

After the Fall, every food created for Noah and his descendants was good. They were allowed to eat meat except blood (Gen 9:3-4). For the blood was sacred and it was a shadow of the True Substance that was coming.

During the sacrificial system (the Law), every food created for Israelites was good, except a list that they couldn't eat (Lev 11). There was a need for separation between Israel and all pagan nations to distinguish the God whom they worshiped. Blood was also not allowed to be eaten (Lev 17:13-14) as the sacrificial system was pointing to the One who was to come.

At Redemption (Christ's finished works), every food created for mankind was good (1 Tim 4:5) and can be eaten, including the blood.

However, in Acts 15, we saw the beginning of the progression from Judaism into Christianity where the Gentile believers were told not to eat blood. This was to protect the fellowship with Jewish believers.

At a later stage, Paul revealed the truth (Rom 14:20-23) --- your eating should not offend/stumble fellow believers.

The New Covenant truth for food is as follows:

...through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, who... require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer. - 1 Tim 4:2-5

This reveals a few things:

1) Every food created by God is good
- You can be vegan, vegetarian or meat-eater. It is still good as long as you acknowledge the Source. For health does not largely come from what you eat, but who you worship

2) Abstinence from certain food is not from God
- You can abstain from any food if you wish to, but it is not legalistic. You should not teach others to do so or impose on others.

3) Lab-produced meat or plant-based meat are not meat and they are not created from God
- Plant-based meat is simply plant. So don't try to re-package it as meat. It doesn't work that way. It's like calling a boy, female and a girl, male.
- Lab-produced meat is not meat. So don't try to re-package it as meat. It doesn't work that way. It's like calling an alien, human.
- These are NOT created from God and therefore they are NOT good. So if you eat them, the source is not God but men trying to be god.

Deliverance Part 3

Deliverance Part 3

Do you know that knowing you have been delivered is actually the deliverance that you need in your life?

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son... - Col 1:13

Many believers are still waiting for another deliverance session to get free. You are not trying to get free. You are already free if you realise who you are in Christ and what He has done for you.

There are ministries that try to bring you back to your past memories and ask you to 'see' Jesus in that memory so that you can be free from that trauma/incident/hurt. This is taken from the counseling approach, which is called repressed memory therapy.

This is a psychological way of dealing with unexplained symptoms/emotions. It can find temporarily relief, but it does not help you stay free. Because the enemy will find opportune time to bring back the past memories. You will end up needing another ministering session.

Nowhere in the Bible, in the New Covenant, teaches on this. The Word says that you have been crucified (Gal 2:20); you have died with Christ (Rom 6:8); your old self with those memories are done way with (Rom 6:6); you are to forget the past (Phil 3:13); you are a new creation (2 Cor 5:17), etc.

The flashback and the past memories can come back to haunt you, because the enemy won't let go of you. You need to know that they no longer define you; they no longer have any power or influence over you. They are no longer who you are in Christ.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐦 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧... - Col 1:13-14

The word 'redemption' in the Greek is 'release effected by payment of ransom.' It emphasizes the distance that results between the rescued person, and what previously enslaved them.

Because of what Christ did on the Cross, you have been released from the past. You have been released from the trauma and the bad memories.

When you are redeemed from something, you are released into a new status. What you are redeemed from no longer has any hold on you. But in order for you to experience that freedom, you have to intentionally walk out your new status ----- the New Man, created and renewed in the image of Christ (Col 3:10; Eph 4:24).

Many cases of inner healing/deliverance are a result of the person trying to resurrect the old self when it has already been crucified with Christ.

The next time when the enemy tries to bring back the hurt, emotions and pain, tell him, "You've got the wrong person. I'm a new Man in Christ."

The Test In Life

The Test In Life

When we are born again unto the Kingdom, we are instantly changed. We are complete in Him (Col 2:10).

The rest of the tests in life has to do with testing how firm we are in Christ. Every attack that comes our way is to test our identity. It seeks to knock us off the ground that we are standing on.

This is why the Bible talks about standing firm and remaining immovable. By God's design, we were created to be a flourishing tree. We naturally produce fruit, for we are blessed.

The only work we need to do is to stand firm on the ground of who we are in Christ. If the enemy can create doubts through the circumstances we face, he wins the battle.

He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous. - Psalm 1:3 (TPT)

As a flourishing tree by God's default, there is no dry season. Only religion teaches you about dry and winter seasons of life. You never run dry and you never go through winter if you stand firm despite the circumstances.

The only way for us to stand firm is in Psalm 1:2 - 'His passion is to remain true to the Word of “I AM,” meditating day and night on the true revelation of light.'

I love the supernatural, the prophetic and the miracles. However these are not going to empower you to stand firm. It has to be the Word of God. If your passion is after miracles, you will be knocked out from the ground that God has put you on.

The Word is Christ and the Word reveals Christ. When you read the Word, you are reading who you are. Because as He is, so are you in this world. To know how to stand firm in all tests of life, we need to be deeply rooted in our identity in Christ.

Every test in life is to test how rooted you are. Therefore, we always win when we simply stand firm.

Co-broking With Integrity

So glad to co-broke with an agent (likely in her late 50s or early 60s) who walks in integrity. It's been a long time since I last encountered one.

When conversing with her on my buyer's offer, she said that she cannot reveal the seller's expected price. At the same time, she said that she does not go into the bidding game as all offers must be kept confidential.

This is what CEA requires us to do, though many agents do not follow it.

What I like most in our conversation is this ----- she said, "Integrity is what money cannot buy. I have been in the business line for 30 years (but 1 year in the real estate business). This is my principle, so I don't do what other agents do."

On the next day (yesterday), while passing my buyer's offer to her, I saw that she was wearing a cast on her hand. She just fractured it. So I ministered to her. She said, "That's a very nice sensation that I'm feeling on my hand." She could move and bend her hand when she took off the cast to test it.

As a result, God moved her to grant me favour lol. That night, she helped me convey my buyer's sincerity to the seller. And the seller decided to close with us instead of two other offers.

On the following day which is today, she passed me the sales document. Her cast was gone and she was totally healed. Jesus!

Love it when Jesus manifested Himself in business work. And love it whenever I meet an agent with the same principle.

Deliverance Part 2

Deliverance Part 2

What if I told you that knowing that you have been delivered is actually the deliverance that you need in your life?

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son... - Col 1:13

Many believers are still waiting for another deliverance session when the Bible says that we have already been delivered from the domain (authority) of darkness. The chains have already been broken when the Deliverer enters your life ---- when you are born again.

You are not trying to get free. You are already free. But without knowing this truth (Jn 8:32; Rom 12:2), you will still continue to act and live in bondage.

The works of the flesh (Gal 5:19-21) are in the domain of darkness. But the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23) is in the kingdom of God's beloved Son.

The Bible says that we have been 'transferred' from the domain of darkness to Christ's Kingdom. The word 'transfer' means 'change of situation or place'.

This means that if you were enslaved to sin, oppression or depression, now you are free from it, because there is a change of domain. You are now under Christ where the fruit of the Spirit is.

And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. - Gal 5:24-25

Since we have been transferred to Christ's kingdom, we have crucified (past tense) the flesh which was under the domain of darkness. You are not trying to crucify it. It is already done when you are born again unto Christ.

This means that the flesh has no more control over you. Sin, oppression and depression have no more control over you.

Because we are in Christ, we are living in the Spirit (in Christ). Living in the Spirit has to do with the domain which you are now under. It is not about your actions and behaviours ------ for these are about walking in the Spirit.

Deliverance ministries will be out of ministry when believers know that the Deliverer has already set you free. What is left is knowing the truth on who you really are in Christ now that you are born again.
