The Faithfulness of God Draws Faith From You

The Faithfulness of God Draws Faith From You

You cannot produce faith by trying and striving. It is by trusting and resting.

The fruit of the Spirit includes faithfulness, which also means faith (in the Greek). In other words, faith is part of the fruit of the Spirit. It is given to you when you are born again.

More often than not, we like to say, “I don’t have enough faith” or “I need to grow more faith”. By thinking and trying to work on our faith, we stifle the very aspect that we want to walk in.

Your faith is not the issue. You have been given the standard of faith (Rom 12:3), which is why the fruit of the Spirit is in you (Gal 5:22-23).

Your perspective is the issue. You cannot put faith in your faith. You have to put faith in the Author and the Finisher of faith (Heb 12:2).

Since faith comes from hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Rom 10:17), each time when you hear the faithfulness of God, faith comes.

In addition to that, the more we experience His faithfulness, the more faith is drawn from within us.

Instead of praying, “Father, grow my faith!”, you say, “Father, I thank You for Your faithfulness. I am going to see Your faithfulness in my health/finances/relationships, etc.”

And you watch how your faith comes as His faithfulness is unveiled to you.
