Done, not Do

Done, not Do

Almost all Christians believe that Christianity is 'done'. In other words, they believe that salvation has been purchased for us by Christ on the Cross. We don't earn or work our way to get to God. It is done for us, so that we can be in a relationship with Him.

However, many simply stop short at this truth. Christianity is not just done in the area of salvation. 𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚. Salvation includes spirit, soul (deliverance) and body (healing) by the way. I can pull out plenty of Scriptures to show that it is already done.

The epistles are full of what Christ has already done, not what He is going to do. Apostle Paul was resolved to know Christ and Him crucified (1 Cor 2:2), 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 (2 Peter 1:3) 𝐢𝐬 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐄.

The moment you think that you need to do in order to get/earn/move God, you fall short of Christianity. I know many charismatic horses like to think that God is going to release this and that, as if Christ has not given. It is not from a biblical perspective. To them, it is not done. But to God, it is DONE.

The instant when you switch from DONE to DO, you miss Christianity at it's core. This is so simple, yet so profound that most of us cannot grasp hold of. We almost keep fluctuating between DONE and DO, which is the reason why we struggle between resting and striving.

It takes effort to enter into that rest (Heb 4:11), because every ounce of our flesh will scream "DO SOMETHING!" But the Spirit says, "It's DONE!"

Your salvation, deliverance, healing, providence, righteousness, peace, joy, etc are all DONE. You are not trying to do something to get it. Christ has already given. You just need to simply believe and receive (Mk 11:24).

My son had been struggling with hair issue since few years back. Whenever he saw a strand of hair, he would feel like vomiting. This is abnormal. I tried all that I could spiritually, but to no avail. Few years back, I even tried the charismatic nonsense inner healing approach (some called it Sozo, but it's actually copied from psychology aka the world's method and re-packaged into the church). Holy Spirit's job is not to trigger past trauma and memories so that the person can be healed. That's not Bible and nowhere be found in the Bible. His job is to bring to your remembrance all truths (Jn 14:26).

We run to extra-biblical stuff because of a lack of truth and power. Myself included in the past. But when I got a revelation of true Christianity aka DONE, I went back to my son and enforced what Christ has done on him.

I laid my hand on his head and shouted, "You, spirit of fear, get out of him! And you are not allowed to return." Immediately, I said to him, "You are free from fear, J. You can touch a strand of hair now. Go, do it!" He went to grab it, look at it, stare at it closely and he's totally fine. He said, "Papa, I don't dare to step on hair when it's wet in the bathroom. Can I try it?" I said, "Go." He did it a few times and he's free from fear.

When we get hold of the revelation of DONE, everything within you will rise up to defeat every power of the evil ones. You can stop all the nonsense on inner healing and start walking like Jesus did throughout the Gospel because He never ever did a Sozo on someone who needed deliverance.
