Missing Children | Pray

Since God spoke to me to start praying yesterday, I went ahead to pray this morning 10ish after finding out that two kids in SG were missing.

One is revealed, answered and confirmed by police’s new tweet just an hour ago this afternoon. The first original tweet, which was still there in the morning, has been removed because the girl is found.

The other boy… please pray that he too will be found.

The WOK must be used as a lifeskill. And we must grow in all it’s capacity.

P.S: Unfortunately, there are red tapes in SG and a police friend said that there are protocols to follow.

Solving Crimes and Social Issues through Word of Knowledge

Solving Crimes and Social Issues through Word of Knowledge

A great article to read on if you want to grow in the prophetic and use word of knowledge beyond the four walls of the church into the social arena.

Dano Mccollam has been doing these for 7 years. He has a team of 400 people focusing on finding missing people, solving crimes and social issues through word of knowledge. The success rate is currently at 10% (1 out of 10 missing people is found), which is pretty good because every life counts!

What does it mean for ordinary believers? Every single one of you can step into this. It is not reserved for a selected few.

It’s about the desire to grow and to take risks for the Kingdom because of Love.

P.S: Don’t grow in ministry skills. Grow in life skills. That’s Kingdom.

The god of this world

The god of this world

In their case the god of this world has 𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 the minds of the 𝐮𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. - 2 Cor 4:4

The word 'blinded' means 'cloudy perspective'.

The word 'unbelievers' does not necessarily mean the unconverted. While the context is about the Gospel, the word 'unbelievers' comes from the Greek word 'apistos', which means 'unconvinced and unpersuaded by God' ----- and this also applies to Christians (Titus 1:15-16) who have a form of godliness but without power (which means that there is no understanding of the Kingdom of God).

The knowledge (revelation) of the Kingdom of God directly opposes the knowledge of the world, which belongs to the god of this world aka the prince of the power of the air. For the carnal mind is always hostile against God (Rom 8:7) and it exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Cor 10:4-5).

In today's situation, the god of this world has indeed caused many to have cloudy perspective. Confusion is never from God. If you are swaying from the left to the right, it also means that there is no foundation to begin with.

When the carnal mind in the world unites together for ONE solution, you can be almost certain that the power at work behind it belongs to the prince of the power of the air, where the world lies in subjection to (1 John 5:19).

If the whole world won't unite for One God, they won't unite for One God-solution. But if you subscribe to the 'God is in control of the whole world's situation', then yeah, you will believe that the whole world provides one same solution because it's from God. Unfortunately, this is untrue because He has given you the authority and the power to take dominion on earth.

Many who believe in the 'God-permits-it-mindset' are also usually the ones who sit back and do nothing and just follow the majority. The first century believers, on the other hand, were the ones who penetrated all the arenas of life because they understood dominion.

I'm not sharing this to divide anybody. Because if it can cause a division among believers, it shows that the ones who get upset and get divided have no maturity. Maturity means that I can hear a different perspective and still not be offended. Otherwise, it's fake kind of loving your neighbours (just like how it is being promoted now by religion). I don't like to play church or religion. I'm all in for the Kingdom of God.

We are soldiers of Christ, not sissy.

It does not matter who says this and who says that. It doesn't even matter WHO is the one who says it. The Word must be exalted above all and if your trust is not in the Word, you need to re-evaluate if you are a Christian who simply professes a religion or a believer who truly confesses Christ as Lord & Saviour.

No Sugar-Coating

Jesus does not sugar-coat His message in the name of love. Because Love (1 John 4:8) & Truth (John 14:6) are on the same side of the coin (John 1:17).

In order to love, one must speak the truth (not in a harsh manner unless you are talking to the religious ones or your immediate disciple ---- Jesus did it), even if someone is hurt by it. If truth hurts the person, he/she will need to process through why truth hurts.

When Peter spoke truth, the people were cut to their hearts.
When Paul spoke truth, some believed while some were offended.
When Jesus spoke truth, some believed while some tried to stone Him.

When I shared that it is always God's will and timing to heal now, some got offended and stopped me from going back to speak, which is totally fine to me. My message must either convict OR offend. Anything in between shows that I'm not confident of the truth, and it will just be a ted talk, a form of godliness without power.

If your message tickles ears and pleases everyone, it is not the Gospel. If everyone gets saved whenever you share the Gospel, you are probably preaching a watered-down Gospel without the Kingdom message. For even Jesus and Paul had non-believers (Greek) rejecting their Gospel message. So if you have 100% hit rate, you are probably above God.

Since I have come out of an institution years ago, I am no longer keen to hear the 'Does preaching such truths show love to the people when they are not ready to accept it?" We don't decide for people. Not everyone has to be ready to accept. We just need to be faithful to do what the Master has told us to do ----- preach the Gospel of the Kingdom.

spirit of darkness

spirit of darkness

Many people love our country. I love my country too. We must understand that our country is not represented by the leadership, it is represented by the people.

You can find kind, generous, compassionate and loving people in our country, and they are usually not in a certain sector where it is oppressive. The culture with an oppressive spirit can cause someone to behave in like manner.

Thankfully, Singaporeans are not like this in general.

As believers, we need to understand that we are living in a world where wickedness (in the spirit realm) is real. But we don't have to be subject to it because we are children of God.

We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. - 1 John 5:19

In the Greek, it simply means that the whole world lies in subjection to the evil one. But we are not of this world as His children. We can trample over the evil one (Luke 10:19) by not subjecting to him.

Having said that, we also need to acknowledge that it is nothing unusual for the world or/and our nation to get darker as time goes by. But the Body of Christ should shine brighter, so that the contrast is even wider.

If the Body of Christ is only as dark as the world as time goes by, how great we have fallen. In other words, as time goes by, the differences between the church and the world SHOULD become more and more evident.

If your church is similar to the world that we are living in as time goes by, I would suggest that you get out of that church because it has become angel of light in disguise (2 Cor 11:14). You don't have to wait until five appearances of angels, three thunder blasts, two lightning bolts, and one audible voice from heaven telling you to leave. It is in the Word that you do not fellowship with darkness.

Yes, we need to unite together as the Body of Christ, but you don't unite with one that is assimilating darkness as light (Matt 6:23).

Word Of Knowledge

Word Of Knowledge

At a healing meeting yesterday, people got healed while listening to the message and others got healed by ordinary believers ministering to one another (without laying hands due to social distancing), simply with the authority of Christ. I love to see people empowered instead of a superstar one-man show praying for people.

Don't just teach that God wants to heal. Teach also on identity and authority in every believer. And get them to do the works of the kingdom. It is a natural human inclination to want to be the one to minister. Thus, it takes a simple restraint to stop yourself from doing it and let the people do it so that God gets the glory and not you. Your flesh needs to shut up.

This continues to prove one thing: God confirms His Word (instead of the 'chosen' Man of God). If God can use a donkey (also translated as an ass), He can use anyone to do the impossible. The moment when you think that you are specially 'anointed', you fall from the place of the Cross, because it's annoying to God.

There was a word of knowledge for a bank account. Nobody responded. At the end of the meeting, one guy came up to the front and revealed his bank account number. He said, "I didn't remember my account number, so I went to check it. Here it is. Few days ago, someone just prophesied that I would have a financial increase. And now this happens."

The word of knowledge is as simple as speaking in tongues. You just need to keep practising it by faith. There is no mystery to unlock it. There is no special key to unlock it. We have made it too complicated. It is as simple as hearing God's voice daily. Sometimes, you hit it. Sometimes, you miss it. But you don't stop. You keep going. You keep sharpening. You keep getting better. And you take a step further and deeper by faith. You stretch abit more. And you grow more. When we are not afraid of making a fool of ourselves, we are in the right place to grow in word of knowledge.

Do not think that there are special people, because you have the same Holy Spirit in you. You just have to step out. I started ministering to the sick without any WOK. But I kept practising when opportunities arise. That's how I grew.

Many people want to have a platform, but the platform does not form you. What you need is simply a desire to bless people. It is more blessed to give than to receive ----- and it's not always about money. You are blessed when you step out in faith to give WOK to others. Why? You grow in it.

P.S: Will I get a WOK for Toto & 4D?

Dialectical Reasoning

Dialectical Reasoning

So he 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐝 in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout persons, and in the marketplace every day with those who happened to be there. - Acts 17:17

The word 'reason' in the Greek is actually dialectical reasoning. This is the process of giving and receiving information with someone to reach deeper understanding. It is usually applied to get a conclusion across.

Apostle Paul often used dialectical reasoning to bring the Gospel truth to the hearers (Acts 17:2; 17:17; 18:4; 18:14; 18:19; 19:8; 19:9; 24:25), instead of mere one-way preaching.

𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭, 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐞. Therefore, a person holding the truth has full confidence to engage in dialectical reasoning. In Christianity, dialectical reasoning leads to true growth in the life of believers. Unfortunately, it is seldom applied.

A person with fear will not want to engage in dialectical reasoning, either because he does not hold the truth or he's afraid to be wrong. It could also be that he simply wants to be right and stick to his opinion. Hence, applying one-way preaching works best for him.

This often takes place both in church and in a non-democratic society. It enables whatever process that is needed to move fast without opposition and questions.

However, just like students learn better through facilitation and dialectical reasoning, believers only truly grow in understanding by engaging in the same approach. Likewise, a society only grows in maturity in the same way.

Yes, there might be unpleasant and heated arguments along the way. And the process will be slowed down. But it's not about moving fast, it's about moving deep and moving far.

Do we have short-sighted Christianity or insightful Christianity? It depends on what we engage in.

P.S: I'm not against preaching. There is a place for it. But dialectical reasoning should be the main course.

Faith Is Not Mental Assent Part 3

Faith Is Not Mental Assent Part 3

As shared in Part 2, faith and doubt/unbelief can co-exist in the life of a believer for a particular/specific situation. If that happens, it will not produce the result (Matt 17:20; James 1:6-8; Matt 21:21).

On the other hand, believing and doubt/unbelief cannot co-exist. You can only have one or the other (Mark 11:23-24; Mark 5:36; Mark 9:23). If you have doubt/unbelief in a particular situation, you are NOT believing, thus it will not produce the result.

There is a difference between faith and believing. Faith (G4102) is a 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧. It is a divine persuasion from God given to us (Rom 12:3) so that we can trust Him. 𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐝. This is why when you get a revelation of Him through His Word, faith is imparted to you (Rom 10:17).

Believing (G4100) is to 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 because of His persuasion (faith). It is to entrust yourself to Him. In other words, it proceeds from faith and it produces an act (Mark 11:24).

Since faith is not the issue (Matt 17:20; Rom 12:3), we need to deal with unbelief/doubt, which is the opposite of believing.

Believing must follow through with an act (words, thoughts, actions). We do not say/think/do anything that is contrary to what we believe even if we have yet to see the manifestation (Mark 11:14-24; Eph 6:13). Unbelief/doubt is the opposite ----> we shrink back and second guess if it is working (through our thoughts, words and actions).

Believing can produce an instant, sudden, or progressive result ---- depending on how renewed our mind is (Rom 12:2). There is no backing off; no stopping; no changing in the course. You act upon your belief and stick to it until it produces result.

There is a place for praying (Mark 9:29) where you want to get to the place of believing, so that you can see the outcome. There is also a place for praying because you are already believing, and you want to see the outcome faster (i.e. Jesus prayed twice for the blind man).

However, praying because you think that it is not working yet is not the place of believing. It is doubting/unbelief. And many of us pray from this place.

We need to learn how to stand believing and keep standing. If you don't believe yet, pray until you believe. If you believe, pray the prayer of faith (James 5:15) and see the result. #divinehealing

Faith Is Not Mental Assent Part 2

Faith Is Not Mental Assent Part 2

As shared in the previous post, faith is not simply having the mind agreeing with what the Word says, because even the demons believe. Faith without works is as good as dead (James 2:20).

Since true believing always produces an outcome (Mark 11:24), when an outcome is not produced, we know that one does not truly believe.

𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 for one who believes. - Mark 9:23 (This has to read in the context of 1 John 5:14-15).

I like to read a verse in different angles: front to back, back to front, scriptures interpreting scriptures, and also the reverse, etc.

If all things are possible for one who believes, it also means that it is not possible for one who does not believe. In the context of Mark 9, the disciples failed to set the boy free. But Jesus DID it. In other words, it is possible for the boy to be free because Jesus believed. And it is not possible for the boy to be free because the disciples did not believe.

Some people say, "Wilson, it's not so simple, you know?" Well, that's because we love to give excuses and reasons to what we do not see, so that we can justify and assure ourselves that the equation is not always on our side. It's called 'self-preservation'. Simplicity (not stupidity) is a virtue.

When the disciples asked Jesus why they couldn't cast out the demon, Jesus answered, "𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐮𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟." (Matt 17:20).

The disciples had all the results earlier. They had Jesus' authority and power (Luke 9:1) to heal and to cast out demons. But they couldn't do so for the boy in Matt 17 aka Mark 9.

In other words, you can be believing in many of the circumstances and still fail to believe in another situation. You can be seeing results (i.e. healing) in 1000 people who have cancer and still NOT believe when you minister to the 1001th person who has cancer.

Believing is not just in the words you say and what you think in your mind. Singing "there can be miracles... when you believe..." doesn't mean it's believing.

Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐬 that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. - Mark 11:23

Doubting and believing take place in the heart. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐎𝐑 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.

But let him ask in faith, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐨 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. - James 1:6-7

Since you only need little faith like mustard seed to move mountains (Matt 17:20), 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞 as each of us has been given the same standard of faith (Rom 12:3). Jesus did not say that His disciples have faith issue. He said that they had unbelief. Because every believer has enough faith to move mountains and produce results.

In other words, faith AND doubt CAN co-exist at the same time in the life of a believer for a particular/specific situation. But believing and doubt CANNOT co-exist.

In the next part, we will see the difference between faith and believing, and how to stand.
