You Are The Life Of God

You Are The Life Of God

For if by the offense of the one, death reigned through the one, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. - Rom 5:17

By the offense or sin of Adam, death reigned through him. Every man who is born after Adam naturally walks in death (every form of death including sickness).

The word 'reign' means 'to rule as king, to exercise dominion.'

Under the First Adam, sin has dominion over mankind, which means that death has dominion over every man.

Under the Last Adam, sin no longer has dominion (Rom 6:14), which means that death has lost its dominion over us. Not only that, since Grace & Righteousness have dominion, Life has dominion in us (Rom 5:17 - we reign in Life).

Sin = Death Reigns
Grace & Righteousness = Life Reigns

...so that, as sin reigned in death, so also grace would reign through righteousness to eternal LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Rom 5:21 (emphasis added)

In Adam, I was the sin of Man in Adam.
In Christ, I am the righteousness of God in Christ.

On the Cross, Jesus became the sin of Man so that we become the righteousness of God (2 Cor 5:21). Jesus was treated like us so that we can be treated like Him. Jesus was made sin, so that we can be made sons.

Since sin produces death in Adam and righteousness produces life in Christ, when I become the righteousness of God in Christ, I also become the LIFE of God in Christ.

Eternal LIFE is not what you attain in future, it is who you become now. John 17:3 says that "This is eternal LIFE, that they may know You, the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent."

Eternal Life is not a location you go to. It's a position you have. You are the LIFE of God in Christ Jesus!

What does it mean to be the LIFE of God in Christ?

It means that you are able to release life to whomever and whatever you touch. It means that sickness and disease and every form of death cannot reign in you because the very LIFE of God crushes any trace of that in you.

Many believers understand that they have become the Righteousness of God in Christ. But few realise that they have become the Life of God in Christ.

Are You Careful Or Carefree? Part Two

Are You Careful Or Carefree? Part Two

As shared in Part One, we are to cast the object of our care (that divides and distracts our mind from Christ) on God, because we are the object of His care (1 Peter 5:7).

The word 'care' (Matt 6:34; Mark 4:19) in Greek literally means 'to be divided; to be distracted.'

But Martha was ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ญ๐ž๐ with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not ๐œ๐š๐ซ๐ž that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? - Luke 10:40

Whenever we care for something, it causes distraction where we no longer set our mind on the things of the Spirit (Rom 8:5).

When we become care-LESS, when we become care-FREE, the word of God will be fruitful (manifested) in our lives.

How does this apply to healing and health, which is from the Spirit realm?

Some time ago, I was in a rush for an appointment. I ate so fast that I accidentally bit into a piece of stone in the rice. The immediate pain was excruciating. I had thought that I must have caused my tooth to crack.

For the whole day, there was 'electricity' in that vicinity of my tooth. Did I command healing? Yes of course! In fact, I was commanding and releasing healing to myself everyday.

After one month plus, it didn't get healed. I went to do a quick dental check to see if the tooth has cracked and I was told that there's nothing the dentist could do, because the tooth is still fine and the root is still alive.

The next few days, after releasing healing to myself, I decided to forget about it. I decided to be care-LESS. Then... I didn't know when and how, my tooth was suddenly healed.

Most of our prayers are out of care & concern instead of faith. You don't get what you pray.

The peace of God (Phil 4:6-7) is meant to guard your heart and mind in Christ so that you no longer care (anxious, divided and distracted) and thus, you can finally believe (Mark 11:24).

For if you believe that you have received it, you stop praying. You just walk in it. Peace is the proof of faith (Phil 4:7).

But if we keep praying, it reveals that we are still care-FULL, instead of care-FREE. Because our mind gets preoccupied with the object of our care when we are constantly praying about it. It actually renders the word of God powerless and unfruitful in our lives.

Yet if we let go, if we become care-LESS, we will see healing and health flowing easily into our lives.

If you are someone who cares about your health, the best approach is to let go and let God. You are the object of His care (1 Peter 5:7).

Stop meditating on the symptoms.
Stop praying out of care.
Stop praying repeatedly. God doesn't work by your repetition.

Surrender your healing and health to Him after you are done releasing life to your body. Know who you are and WHOSE you are.

Walk like a little child who is care-LESS and care-FREE, because your Father in heaven is always good.

Are You Careful Or Carefree? Part One

Are You Careful Or Carefree? Part One

We have been taught to be very careful since young. "Be careful of this! Be careful of that!" We learnt to care for what needs to be cared for. Being carefree, sometimes, is not valued and not appreciated.

But the principle of being careful is also brought into the spirit realm when we get born again.

If not careful, being careful will become full of cares. And that affects the spirit realm.

Jesus said in Matt 6:34, "So do not ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐ฒ about tomorrow; for tomorrow will ๐œ๐š๐ซ๐ž for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

The word 'worry' is actually the same word as 'care'. The English translation is not the best. In Greek, the word 'worry' and 'care' is 'merimnaรณ', which means 'to go to pieces because pulled apart in different directions'. It literally means '๐ญ๐จ ๐›๐ž ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ž๐, ๐ญ๐จ ๐›๐ž ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ญ๐ž๐'.

In English, it is however, translated as 'to care for, to be anxious, to worry, to be concerned', etc.

If we are careful, our mind will be occupied with the object of our care. We become distracted and divided, because it is impossible to have two different objects in our mind ----- both God and the cares.

Peter was walking on water. But when he saw the storm, he became fearful and started sinking. The storm had nothing to do with him working out a supernatural phenomenon of walking on water and defying gravity.

But the storm was designed to cause Peter to CARE. For when he cared about the storm, he became divided and distracted.

All of life is designed to cause us to CARE. We care about our finances; we care about our education; we care about our job; we care about our future; we care about our family and children; we care about our health, and the list of cares continue.

The enemy knows full well. And his goal is to get us to CARE in this world.

Mark 4:19 says that 'the cares ('merimna' - same root word as Matt 6:34) of the world....

For the word of God to be fruitful (manifested) in our lives, we must be CARE-LESS. Being carefree is the main ingredient for the word of God to be fruitful.

The more you are full of cares, the more you walk in fear. The more you are free from cares, the more you walk in faith.

This is why the Bible tells us to 'Cast all our care on Him, because He cares for us." (1 Peter 5:7).

A better translation will be this... 'We are to cast the object of our care (that causes division and distraction in our mind) on God, because we are the object of His care.'

Instead of focusing on the object of your care,

Become care-LESS. Become careFREE. And see how the word of God produces fruit in your life.

In the next part, we will see how this releases healing to your body and causes you to walk in divine health.

Whose Advantage?

Whose Advantage?

Jesus said in John 16:7, "It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you."

The Holy Spirit could only come into the disciples after Jesus was glorified. It was to the disciples' advantage, because they would be able to do what Christ did and more (Jn 14:12).

This is EMPOWERMENT! Jesus wanted them to receive dunamis (power) so that they could walk in it.

Today, the same Holy Spirit is IN every believer. But not every believer thinks and lives that way. The hindrance lies with the main minister because he doesn't go away. He keeps staying at the pulpit.

If the pulpit is our security, then our identity is not in Christ. If you take the pulpit away from a minister and he feels lost/helpless, you know that he has built his identity in the wrong area.

So many are holding on to the pulpit for security reasons ---- financial stability, self-elevation, popularity, control, etc.

It is NOT to the flocks' advantage when we keep holding on to the pulpit and keep ministering.

Jesus showed us the way to lift up and empower His disciples. His focus was on their advantage. If He were to stay, they would never grow up. They would never mature. They would never do what He did.

The flocks are kept on the pews doing church ministries without dunamis (power) when the focus is on the pulpit.

Sometimes, getting out of the way is the best for the flocks to mature.

As a father, I realised that releasing my son empowers him to grow up. I had to get out of the way so that he learnt to do what I did, albeit with some mistakes, but he kept growing.

If you feel a need to keep staying at the pulpit and be the one ministering, maybe you have built your security in idolatry without realising it.

Whose advantage are you seeking?

Stop Elevating Yourself. Start Empowering Others

If you keep preaching and ministering, you become a stage where audiences depend on you. It eventually makes your head bigger.

If you keep empowering others to preach and minister, there is no stage and no audience depending on you. It eventually makes your heart bigger.

The biblical model of the ekklesia (church) has no audience. Because ALL are called and sent out.

God's Call For Your Life Part 2

God's Call For Your Life Part 2

As shared in the previous post, God's calling for every individual is the SAME --- to be conformed to the image of Christ (Rom 8:29-30).

By trying to pray 'so hard' in search of God's calling for your life, you can get off-tracked in the Kingdom. For God has made it plain and clear in the Word about your calling.

He's less concerned about the job you do, the house you buy, the spouse you find, etc., than you conforming to His image. There is more liberty in what you can do than you realise.

Conforming to His image includes everything that Christ walked in, both power and love. Many people think Christ-likeness is just about character. It's more than that. It includes the resurrection power that Christ walked in.

"What job/course should I do?"
"Which spouse should I choose?"
"Which house should I buy?"

Well, you just get a job and be conformed to His image. You just buy a house and be conformed to His image. You get a spouse and be conformed to His image.

The call of God is priority --- conforming to His image. The rest is secondary. When we get it upside down, we miss the Kingdom.

"But God, what should I DO with my life?"

It's already in Mark 16:15-18; Matt 28:19-20; John 20:21-23; Luke 24:47.

Get into a course and DO what He already said.
Get a job and DO what He already said.
Get a spouse and DO what He already said.
Get a house and DO what He already said.

The MAIN thing is to obey His calling --- salvation unto Christ's image. What is secondary (job, course, spouse, house, and the list goes on) is of less significance.

When we understand what God's calling meant (which is the SAME for everyone), we can go into the secondary, which is NOT specific in the Bible. In other words, you have alot more freedom to choose and decide.

God is not some narrow-minded CEO deciding your job scope. He's not the traditional ancient Father deciding the spouse you should marry. The King empowers and delegates His authority to you.

Enough said about God's calling. There are some assigned works you might be doing and even within that, you have freedom to decide. But knowing these assigned works can make you effective in contributing to the distribution works in the Kingdom.

Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. - 1 Cor 7:17

Paul further explained in the chapter that you should remain in the condition in which you were called, whether married, slave or circumcised. Even the slave wasn't told to change his status after being called by God.

The word 'assigned' in Greek means 'distribute as properly needed'.

God, in His wisdom, has already distributed each individual for good works (Eph 2:10). If the call of God has to do with full-time ministries, then the world is finished because it is not distributed as properly needed.

We are all born into this world with different personalities, passion, abilities and life stories. These contributed to our distribution or what we have been assigned to.

What we simply need to find out is our distribution (what we have been assigned to). And that's not difficult. That doesn't take 40 days of fasting and praying, two appearances of angels, the sound of thunder, three sights of lightning and five trumpet blasts.

What is in your hand? What are you good at?
What is your heart desire?
What is your passion?
What is your life story?

More often than not, what you were redeemed FROM is what you are redeemed FOR. For God is our Redeemer.

Walking in what we have been distributed for makes us most effective in the Kingdom. And the result is that more people get gathered into the Father's house through us.

God's Call For Your Life Part 1

God's Call For Your Life Part 1

We have been taught by and large that we should find out God's call for our individual lives and walk in His calling. In other words, we are told to drop everything, seek, pray and pursue after what He has called us to do.

However, it seems that we have misunderstood what God's calling really meant. Using the wrong phrase can confuse people.

What if I told you that God's call for every believer is the ๐’๐€๐Œ๐„?
What if God's calling for your life is not unique and specific but general because it applies to everyone?

For those whom He foreknew He also ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐›๐ž ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ข๐ฆ๐š๐ ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‡๐ข๐ฌ ๐’๐จ๐ง, in order that He might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom He predestined He also justified, and those whom He justified He also glorified. - Rom 8:29-30

Read the Parable of the Wedding Feast and you will understand more on Matt 22:14 and Romans 8:29-30.

God's call for your life is not some specific works that only you can do. His calling for your life is for you Nothing more and nothing less.

He has called every individual unto salvation, but only those who responded to His call are chosen (Matt 22:14) and justified (Rom 8:30). ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐œ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐†๐จ๐ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฌ๐š๐ฆ๐ž ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ž ๐ข๐ง๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ ----- salvation unto the image of Christ.

Note: This is why the typical church salvation message through sinner's prayer (forgiveness and heaven) is merely half true and incomplete.

For the gifts and ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐œ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐†๐จ๐ are irrevocable. - Romans 11:29

Many preach this verse as God's unique call for your life. But the calling of God in this context refers to God's irrevocable election of Israel as His beloved. Read the whole chapter 11 and you will know that God was referring to Israel's salvation. It is consistent with Romans 8:29-30 on God's calling.

Scriptures interpret Scriptures. Read also Rom 8:28; Eph 4:1; 2 Thes 1:11; 1 Cor 1:2; 2 Peter 1:10; 1 Cor 7:17-24. There are many more consistent verses on God's calling, which is the SAME for every individual.

Hence, why are we trying so hard to pray, "God, what is Your call for my life? What should I do?"

Honestly, you can't find this in the Bible because it's not there and it's not of significant priority in God's eyes. For far too long, we have been focusing on the wrong thing and missing out the main thing.

"God, which course should I take in the University?"
"God, which job should I do?"
"God, which spouse should I choose?"
"God, which house should I buy?"
"God, which blouse should I get?" (pun intended)

The rule of the thumb is this... what is written in the Word is God's priority. It is the MAIN thing. What is not written in the Word is NOT God's priority.

We can get extremely side-tracked in the Kingdom when we try so hard to find out God's calling for our lives when He has already clearly and plainly stated so.

In the next part, I will share more on the kind of work we might have been assigned to.
