Don't Become, Be!

Don't Become, Be!

The enemy is always trying to get us to become who we already are. If he can get us to try to become who we already are, he can get us to try to get what we already have.

This started from the Fall. The enemy deceived Eve into thinking that she could become like God after eating the fruit (Gen 3:5). But Eve was ALREADY like God to begin with (Gen 1:26).

When Eve thought that she could become who she already was, she tried to get what she already had ---- she already had what is good.

Fast forward to today... If we don't know who we already are in Christ, we will try to BECOME. And when we try to become who we already are, we will try to get what we already have.

Christianity begins complete (Col 2:10). You don't try to become or get it. You simply BE. You simply HAVE it.

Many Christians do not understand this Kingdom truth. They focus on actions, words, behaviours and symptoms ----- sight, instead of identity ----- faith aka truth. Focusing on the flesh is death; focusing on the Spirit is LIFE (Rom 8:6).

They try to become more righteous without realising that they have already been made righteous (2 Cor 5:21). They try to become more holy when they have already been made holy (set apart) --- 1 Cor 1:30.

When you try to become who you already are, you will try to get what you already have.

If sickness or symptoms are in their bodies, they say, "I am sick. I need healing." Or they say to you, "You are not well. You are sick." They don't understand truth and identity. They are still seeing and living by the flesh (sight), instead of identity (faith). They try to get healing when they already have it.

1 Peter 2:24 says that "by His stripes, you WERE healed." It's a past tense. It is a done deal. Just as Jesus dealt with sin's issue, He dealt with sickness' issue. As far as God is concerned, you were healed, and therefore, you are healed.

God is not trying to heal you. He already DID it through Christ by His stripes. People say, "No. I'm not. I'm still having the symptoms. I need to get healing." That's because they focus on the physical instead of the spiritual.

Every blessing flows from the spiritual realm into the physical realm. It flows from our identity into our reality. Living by sight shuts off the power and the flow. It gets us into becoming who we already are. It makes us try to get what we already have.

This is WHY THE ENEMY always deceives us to live by SIGHT. That is his primary technique. He channels all his energy to get us to live by sight. The only way to overcome him is faith (2 Cor 5:7; 1 Jn 4:4). Live in our IDENTITY.

Identity is simply living by the Spirit, aka walking by faith in His truth. Your actions, words, behaviours and symptoms might not line up with your identity yet, BUT it doesn't change who you are and it doesn't change what you have.

In fact, the only WAY to line up our actions, words, behaviours and symptoms to the truth of God is to constantly FOCUS on our identity (Philemon 6) ---- who we already ARE and what we already HAVE.

Regardless of your bodily symptoms or pain, if you keep believing that you are already healed, the symptoms or pain have to go. It can be instantaneous or progressive. But it has to go. People might think that you are nuts, so be it. People thought Jesus were nuts too.

Our identity is the HEALED one, not the sick. You either choose to believe God or not. Jesus walked in divine health, free from every sickness and disease. So IS our identity ---- we cannot be sick.

But Christians will say, "But you still get sick." That's because they don't understand identity and truth. They are still seeing the flesh. When you believe that you cannot be sick (as who you already are), your body will line up with that truth and you walk protected from every sickness and disease ----- because this is your TRUE identity.

Don't try to get what you already have. Don't try to become who you already are. Simply BE, and simply HAVE!

The Danger of Status Quo

The Danger of Status Quo

Remaining status quo does not mean that we automatically maintain every area in our lives.

In fact, status quo leads to complacency and before we know it, that area in our lives has already declined.

We must be intentional in order to maintain an area in our lives. And we must be more than intentional in order to grow in that area.

P.S: And right after God spoke to me about what I just posted, I saw a post one hour later from one minister. Attached is the screen shot.

Hope & Faith

Hope & Faith

They didn’t really believe the promises of God; they refused to trust Him and move forward in faith. They forgot His wonderful works and the miracles of the past... - Ps 78:10-11 (TPT)

Faith is not just believing in the mind. It must be followed through with action. Kenneth Hagin said that "believing in the mind is simply mental assent."

Mental assent is simply agreeing with God, but that is not faith. Even the devil agrees that God is real.

i.e. "God is the Healer. I believe it. I just don't really think that He would heal me personally now." This is an example of mental assent.

The Israelites believed in their mind. It was mental assent. Because they didn't move forward in faith, which proved that they didn't really believe the promises of God.

Asaph wrote that "they forgot His works and the wonders that He had shown them." (Ps 78:11 ESV)

Remembering the past faithfulness of God through His works and wonders is the bridge to walk in faith. The works and wonders do not give us faith. The testimonies do not give us faith. They only give us HOPE.

Hope is the confident expectation of His goodness. Hope enables us to expect God to do it again because of His faithfulness. But hope is still not faith, since faith only comes by hearing His Word (Rom 10:17).

Why is hope then needed for faith? Faith is the substance of things hoped for... (Heb 11:1). The word 'substance' also means 'reality'.

Faith is the REALITY of things hoped for. Without hope, you cannot have faith NOW.

When we remember the past faithfulness of God through His works and wonders, we HOPE (confident expectation) in His present faithfulness to do His works and wonders AGAIN.

This empowers us to MOVE FORWARD in faith, which is believing beyond mental assent (agreement).

Faith makes Hope a reality for the present. Faith is in the NOW.

If you agree with God's promises, but find it hard to move forward in faith, recall the miracles and testimonies He did in and through you, and step out in faith.

Meekness and Healing

Meekness and Healing

This morning, I had God speak to me.

He said, "If you use meekness, you will see even more healings."

I was baffled. I thought the Kingdom takes by force. I thought aggressiveness is the key.

Jesus walked in meekness throughout His ministry. His benchmark for healings is 100%. He didn't give any excuse and He didn't fail to heal any.

Difference between Weakness and Meekness

Weakness has no choice.
Meekness has a choice.

Weakness is involuntary.
Meekness is deliberate.

Weakness is a lack of power.
Meekness is power under control.

Weakness is by default.
Meekness is by surrendering.

The more we surrender to the Christ in us, the more He manifests through us --- whether in power or in love (whether gifts or fruit).

I was brought back to the scenes where I saw 'great' healings (in men's perspective). Those were of the shortest prayer I spoke. I did nothing with my mind but simply surrendered to the Christ in me. I simply let Him out. I let Him do His work and He completed it with perfection.

Meekness is simply trusting Christ to do the work in and through us. When we try to love, we fail. When we try to heal, we fail.

But when we trust Him to love through us by surrendering to the Christ in us, it becomes effortless. The same is said for healing.

The less we strive and do by our own, the more we trust Him, and the more He manifests Himself.

No Shortcut To Fear

No Shortcut To Fear

There is no shortcut to remove fear from our lives.

We think that fear can be cast out. We command fear to be cast out from others and ourselves. But it doesn't work that way, because the enemy cannot put fear INTO us. Nowhere in the Bible tells us that satan puts the spirit of fear into us.

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear... - Rom 8:15

We were born into the spirit of slavery through the Fall of Adam. The old man was in bondage (slavery) to fear. That nature walks by sight (2 Cor 5:7). It was sight that caused Eve and Adam to fall.

What the enemy does is simply to show us 'sight' (visible realm), so that we walk in fear. Because the opposite of faith is sight.

If the enemy is not IN you, you cannot cast him out. If fear is not put IN you, you cannot cast fear out.

If we are born again believers, fear is self-generated through walking by sight. No one puts fear into you. Therefore, you can't cast it out by casting it out.

We have to believe and keep receiving the love of God until it's perfect.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. - 1 John 4:18

The word 'perfect' here means, "add what is yet lacking in order to render a thing full." Fear is cast out by receiving His love. The more we receive His love, the more fear is cast out.

It's like you pouring clean water into a glass of dirty water. As clean water (love) goes in, dirty water (fear) comes out. Fear is cast out from the inside out by the love of God.

...for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. - 2 Tim 1:7

Since God has given us the spirit of love, there is no spirit of fear in us. Knowing WHO you are and WHOSE you are is the remedy for self-generated fear caused by sight.

Alot of the deliverance ministries try to cast out fear at the altar. You might get some emotional reliefs but you don't get true freedom from fear until you receive the love of God in perfection.

Practicality: Whichever area you are fearful of, you receive the love of God in that area. It was the love of God ---- my Father loves me and thus, will provide for me --- that broke through my fear of financial lack when I left a salaried job. I spent 3 months soaking in His love daily to break that fear.

There is no shortcut to fear. You need to receive His love.

Removing Sin Is The Same As Destroying Sickness

Removing Sin Is The Same As Destroying Sickness

Jesus appeared (or made manifest) physically for the first time on earth to take away sins.

You know that He appeared in order to take away sins, and in Him there is no sin. - 1 Jn 3:5

The word 'take away' in Greek means 'remove' in this context. Jesus removed all our sins on the Cross. He cried, "It is finished!" The Lamb of God took away the sins of the world (Jn 1:29). He didn't just remove a believer's sins. He removed ALL sins of the world (1 Jn 2:2).

The same author John continued writing in verse 8.

The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. - 1 Jn 3:8b

Jesus appeared (or made manifest) physically for the first time on earth to destroy the works of the devil.

Scriptures interpret Scriptures. Jesus appeared on earth (before ascension) to remove sins aka destroying the works of the devil. (1 Jn 3:8)

How did he destroy the works of the devil? He healed the sick, raised the dead and cast out demons as a preliminary demonstration of what would happen when He died on the Cross, which is the ultimate destruction of the works of the devil when He removed our sins and put in us a new nature (2 Cor 5:21). For it is the devil's nature that caused us to sin (1 Jn 3:8a).

So when Christ removed our sins, He also destroyed the works of the devil --- which includes sicknesses and diseases, since they all came from sin (Rom 5:12).

If forgiveness of our sins is released by believing, then healing of our sicknesses and diseases is released by the same token.

Christ has appeared once to remove our sins and destroy sicknesses and diseases. You say, "Then why are there still sicknesses and diseases?" It is the same reason why there are still sins.

When we learn to accept our new nature in Christ, we will learn to oppose and reject sin. Similarly, when we learnt to accept our new nature in Christ, we will learn to oppose and reject sicknesses and diseases.

Divine health is a possibility by believing that just as our sins have been removed, sicknesses and diseases have been destroyed.

Christ will appear (make manifest) physically a second time to give us a glorified body. Divine health becomes a reality without faith.

So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for Him. - Heb 9:28 (emphasis added)

The Heart Or The Belly?

The Heart Or The Belly?

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. - Matt 12:34; Luke 6:45

The word 'heart' in Greek is 'kardia', which can also be used for 'mind, inner self, will, intention, center, etc.' Thayer's Greek Lexicon defines it as 'the center and seat of spiritual life, "the soul or mind, as it is the fountain and seat of the thoughts.'

Mark 11:23 - ...whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭, but believes...

The word 'heart' here is the same word used in Matt 12:34. Believing has to come from the heart aka 'the center and seat of spiritual life, 𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬.'

Since death and life lies in the power of the tongue, our mouth becomes the point for release ---- whether it's life (through believing, if it is abundantly filled by faith) or death (through doubt, if it is abundantly filled by sight).

Psalm 81:10 - Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Since God has filled our heart with faith (Rom 12:3) when we were born again, we can open our mouth wide for the release of His life.

John 7:38 says, "...Out of his 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 will flow rivers of living water." Jesus was referring this to the power of the Holy Spirit in Acts 1:8 (Read John 7:39).

Since believing activates the flow of the rivers of living water (aka the power of the Holy Spirit) and that believing is from the heart (read Mark 11:23), when John 7:38 talks about 'out of his heart will flow rivers of living water', it is more likely to be referring to the same inner self ---- 'out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.'

Because the spirit of faith is "I believe, so I speak.' (2 Cor 4:13)

Thayer's Greek Lexicon uses 'the innermost part of a man, the soul, heart, as the 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭, feeling, choice' for John 7:38. This coincides with 'kardia' in Matt 12:34 and Mark 11:23, which is different from what we are normally taught ----- the belly (lower abdomen).

Out of the abundance of the heart (inner self, seat of thoughts, intention, will), the mouth speaks.

Out of his b̵e̵l̵l̵y̵ heart (inner self, seat of thoughts, intention, will) will flow rivers of living water.

Our intention (will and desire) will cause our mouth to speak out what is on the inside. Our intention (will and desire) will cause the power of the Spirit (rivers of living water) to flow out.

I am more and more convinced that it is out of our heart (inner self, seat of thoughts, intention, will) that the Spirit of God flows out. There are many testimonies and encounters that follow through with this thought.

This is why your heart is edified when you speak in tongues. Because if your belly gets edified when you speak in tongues, the belly is going to become one big united nation.

P.S: The human's heart is where life is. It pumps blood to give oxygen through all the cells in the body. When the heart stops, life stops. The life of God ('zoe') flows into your life (heart) when you are in union with Him.

Can You See Jesus In Person?

Can You See Jesus In Person?

We have heard many people testifying about seeing Jesus.
"𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐞..." etc.

But no testimony can supersede the Word of God. When people shared that they SAW Jesus, what they were really seeing is the VISION of Jesus, not the literal Jesus in Person.

No one can see the literal Jesus in Person until He returns.

Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but 𝐰𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐦, because we shall see Him as He is. - 1 Peter 3:2 (referring to the glorified Christ and our glorified reality)

There are so many Scriptures that give us the truth.

But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, 𝐇𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝, 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐥 for His feet. - Heb 10:12-13

The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐈 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐭. - Matt 22:44 (See also Psalm 110:1)

Jesus is presently sitting at the right hand of the Father, until the end comes. 𝐇𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. It's called hallucination. Kidding. What you saw is only a vision of Christ, not the literal Christ in Person.

After making purification for sins, 𝐇𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 of the Majesty on high. - Heb 1:3

So then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and 𝐬𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝. - Mark 16:19

God raised Christ from the dead and 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 in the heavenly places... - Eph 1:20

We have such a high priest, One 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 of the throne of the Majesty in heaven. - Heb 8:1

Christ Jesus is the One who died—more than that, who was raised—𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝, who indeed is interceding for us. - Rom 8:34

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐬, 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝. - Col 3:1

Christ has gone into heaven and 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝... - 1 Peter 3:22

See also Heb 1:3; 12:2; Rev 3:21; Acts 7:55-56; 5:31 and many more!

When the end comes, Jesus is returning from heaven by clouds of glory. The way He ascended into heaven is going to be the way He returns. There is no interim period when He comes down on earth for a walk.

Jesus said, “I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧.” - Mark 14:62

This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐚𝐰 𝐇𝐢𝐦 𝐠𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧. - Acts 1:11 (See also Acts 1:9 and Luke 24:51)

Behold, 𝐇𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐬, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. - Rev 1:7

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧 with power and great glory. - Matt 24:30 (See also Luke 21:27)

Sorry to burst your bubble, but we need to share Word-based testimonies, not some flaky extra-biblical ones. Yay Jesus!
