Removing Unbelief

Removing Unbelief

If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can speak to the mountain and it will move. (Luke 17:6; Matt 17:20)

𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐮𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. - Matt 17:20

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐭, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.’ - Matt 21:21

Using Scriptures to interpret Scriptures, Matt 21:21 interprets Matt 17:20.

𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐮𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 = 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐭.

For if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, mountain can be moved.

On the other hand, if the mountain (such as sickness) doesn’t move in your life, it has nothing to do with your faith (since you only need tiny mustard seed). It has to do with unbelief aka doubt (Matt 17:20; Heb 3:19; James 1:6; Matt 21:21; Rom 4:20). To have unbelief = doubt = wavering.

How do we remove unbelief?

Since faith works through love (Gal 5:6), and faith is hindered by 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 unbelief (IMPT: It’s not other people’s unbelief), then we need to renew our mind (Rom 12:2) to see the Father’s love.

The more we see His love, the more unbelief gets out. And the more we see mountains moved.

We don’t need mountain-moving faith. There is only one faith (Eph 4:5). We need faith to work through His love without our personal unbelief. Jesus!
