School of Power and Love

In a few days, various people were healed and heard about Jesus. This is about living a kingdom lifestyle.

- Belt shop cashier
- Defect check staff
- Developer’s staff
- 3 security guards
- 2 Guardian pharmacy staff
- Starhub customer service officer
- Barista
- 3 Carousell buyers

For the past few years, we have seen many saved, thousand of people healed and ministered to in almost every place and situation in Singapore, whether it’s toilet, pavement, roadside, bus stop, bus, MRT, MRT platform, Grab, Uber, Taxi, hotel, airport, airplane, cafe, coffeeshop, restaurant, lift, shopping mall, outside the mall, supermarket, ATM, bank, immigration queue, in the queue, while making payment, pharmacy, staircase, retail shop, waiting at traffic junction, hospital, pubs, and a whole lot of other places, etc.

You don’t need to have an outreach event or outreach programme. You are the outreach 24/7 everywhere you go. You are completely unstoppable. It’s a lifestyle you live in, not a style you do.

And this is for every single believer. For ‘revival’ or awakening to take place in Singapore, it takes everyday, normal believers like you and me to know who we are and walk in our identity as sons and daughters.

I am just a husband of one wife and a father of a 5-year old boy living a normal life. Not any kind of spiritual giant or any prominent figure. The simplicity of my life is this... I like to eat potato chips and drink coffee. If I, such a normal guy can do it, so can everyone of you.

Stop looking to the man at the pulpit. Start looking to the Man who died for you and lives through you.

Excited to have School of Power and Love in Singapore. I believe the masses will benefit greatly. It’s to train you to live out your identity and look to Christ in you, the Hope of glory, so that Christ through you is the Manifestation of glory.

Pray with us for this to take place.

Recognise No One According To The Flesh

Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. - 2 Cor 5:16-17

Apostle Paul gave one of the most powerful revelations on how to truly walk in our identity - “Recognise no one according to the flesh.” In other words, don’t see a person in his appearance. See him IN the spirit.

He added the reason why we should see a person in the spirit with the following popular verse, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.”

It is often easy for us to misjudge a person’s heart when we merely look at his actions. This is especially true for people whom we are very familiar with. You can know someone for so long that you developed a preconceived view of the person. Regardless of whatever he/she does or says, you have already judged his/her heart, especially if his/her actions and words seem similar to the past. While the action/word can be similar, the motive and intention can really be pure and harmless.

How does it affect us who judge a person based on past experiences or preconceived view?

We fail to recognise the person according to the spirit. That results in us viewing the person according to his old man, and thus, responding and treating him according to the old man. For that to happen, we have to walk contrary to our identity and resurrect our old man in order to respond to someone’s old man. It becomes a deadly chain cycle where we and the person keep walking in the old man.

By the term “old man”, I don’t mean someone’s hubby. It refers to the old sinful nature before someone has Christ’s nature (born again).

The only remedy is this... “The person is a new creature, a new man in Christ. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.”

The reason why God’s mercies are new every morning is because He always sees us in the Spirit. He sees us as the new man in Christ. Everyday and every moment, God sees us as if all things have become new. For true Love keeps no record of wrongs.

When we understand this and start seeing everyone (especially familiar ones) through the same len as God’s, we are fulfilling “Recognise no one according to the flesh.” In other words, we discard preconceived view and wipe off past experiences. We do not misjudge the person’s heart based on his actions and words. In this way, we will respond and treat the person according to his new man.

How does this affect us? It releases freedom on both sides, because we are walking in our identity (aka new man) when we treat the person as a new creature. This in turn, causes the person to think that he is a new man and act as one. For as a man thinks, so is he.

The verdict: Both sides win and both sides walk in their identity.

Because grace always transforms and identity always re-produces it’s own. #identity

Cease Contending In The Kingdom

Cease Contending In The Kingdom

To contend is to strive, or to compete in order to win. It is a struggle against a competitor.

It is an Old Covenant mindset. Jacob, Job and David all contended with God. But they didn't have a revelation of who God is through Jesus Christ.

In the New Testament, the word 'contend' only appears three times - in Acts 11:2, Jude 3 and Jude 9.

And when Peter came up to Jerusalem, those of the circumcision contended with him... - Acts 11:2

I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. - Jude 3

Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses... - Jude 9

In all these passages, there was a competition:
1) Peter struggled and competed with the circumcision party

2) Paul exhorted the people to fight and preserve the original message of the Gospel as the false teachers were misleading them.

3) The angel Michael and the devil were competing (Note: The context of this passage is based on Old Covenant reference. Jesus had not yet died and rose.)

None of these passages talked about contending for divine breakthrough, promises of God (healing, deliverance, finances, etc.) or the kingdom of God.

Why?

In the Kingdom of God, there is no more contending.
Because it is not by achieving. It is by receiving.
It is not by striving. It is by resting.

If we don't understand identity, we will continue to contend. Identity is about knowing your authority and inheritance. You don't contend for what you have inherited. Neither do you contend for what you have authority over.

A policeman doesn't have to contend with you. He just has to wear his uniform and show his pass. He has authority.

My son doesn't have to contend for what I have and are ready to give Him. He knows his inheritance and rights.

Because Jesus did a perfectly perfect and completely complete work on the Cross, we are left with resting, receiving and trusting.

In fact, we are called to make every effort to enter into that rest. (Heb 4:11)

The whole armour of God in Ephesians 6 is about identity. We are even taught how to stand against the enemy. Not by wrestling (6:12), but by standing firm in identity (6:13). We submit to God (James 4:7) and the enemy will flee.

When we can't see clearly from His perspective, we will keep contending for breakthrough.

But when we see clearly from His perspective, we will rest because Christ had already broken through. #itisfinished #poweroftheCross #identity #authority #inheritance
