Alive To LIFE

The Difference Between Tongues & The Word

The Difference Between Tongues & The Word

Many confuse between praying in tongues and speaking the Word of God. Each of them has it's own function and they are not interchangeable.

Some think (and even teach) that you can fight the enemy by praying in tongues. First of all, we don't see this in the Scriptures. You cannot find specific Scriptures that praying in tongues can fight against the enemy.

Instead, we see that praying in tongues has the following functions:
i) It is praying WITH the Spirit (1 Cor 14:14)
ii) But it is NOT praying with the mind (1 Cor 14:14)
iii) It edifies (builds up) ourselves (1 Cor 14:4)
iv) It is helpful when we are helpless as we do not know what to pray for (Rom 8:26)
v) It is praying God's will (Romans 8:27)
vi) It gives us rest (Isa 28:11), which is actually edifying ourselves as mentioned in 1 Cor 4:4
vii) It is used to pray all prayers and requests (Eph 6:18)

None of the above reveals that praying in tongues is meant to fight against the enemy, nor does it help you to battle the enemy at the battlefield (which is the mind).

Yet we see that speaking the Word of God is the weapon to fight the enemy in the Scriptures:
i) Jesus repeatedly spoke the Word when the enemy tempted Him (Matt 4)
ii) Jesus spoke the Word against the storm, against the demons, against sicknesses and diseases in the books of the Gospel
iii) The sword of the Spirit is the Word of God (Eph 6:17), not tongues
iv) It is a spiritual weapon to cast down arguments and bring thoughts captive (2 Cor 10:4-5)
v) It is using the mind, since tongues only uses the spirit (1 Cor 14:14)
vii) The Word of God is used for mind renewal (Rom 12:2), because while tongues uses the spirit, speaking the Word uses the mind
vii) Thus, to keep our mind stayed on God, it is not by praying in tongues, but by speaking the Word of God, where the end result is life (zoe) and peace (shalom) (Isaiah 26:3; Rom 8:6)

When we understand that praying in tongues is from the spirit, while speaking the Word is from the mind, we will discover the importance of doing BOTH of them. You cannot just do one without the other.

What does it look like practically?

1) If you need spiritual/physical/emotional rest or if you do not know what else to pray, pray in tongues.

2) If you need to fight the enemy (in whatever situation you are in), or if your mind is unable to stay on Him (no life & peace) aka unable to take captive every thought from the enemy, SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD.

Your speaking will train the mind to be obedient and subject to Christ.

Free From Sickness

If I am dead to sin, which is the root of sickness, I am dead to sickness, which is the result of sin.

So if I am free from sin, I am free from sickness.

God Does Nothing Until We Speak

God Does Nothing Until We Speak

“For the Lord God does nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets. The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy?” - Amos 3:6-7

Since God gave dominion-authority to mankind, He chose not to do anything until men speak. The reason for doing so is to honour His own words and keep His integrity. Earth has been given to men.

By speaking, Adam named every animal on the face of this earth. By speaking, nothing becomes something and little becomes much.

Henceforth, when God wanted to do something, He would speak to His people first, so that His people would speak and release the power of God for the words to come into being.

God calls those things which do not exist as though they did (Romans 4:17). When dominion-authority is given to mankind, men now call those things which do not exist as though they did, as long as God has said to them.

The Word became flesh (John 1:14) and dwelt among us. Yet before Jesus came, God had to speak to His prophets. Because the prophets had to SPEAK (prophesy) before Jesus could become flesh on earth.

The words of men prepared the way for the coming of God's Son. God had to speak to them to SPEAK, so that when the right time came, God sent His Son.

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of woman... - Gal 4:4

The fullness of time, the right time came when we were still weak (Rom 8:6); when we still sinners (Rom 8:8); when we were His enemies (Rom 8:10).

𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧.

Our speaking is the same as our prophesying. There is no difference. Just because you add, "I am not prophesying; I am only speaking" does not negate the truth that speaking is prophesying (Prov 18:21). This is why interpreting tongues (into understandable language) is as good as prophesying (1 Cor 14:4-5).

Every time when we speak, we either prophesy death or life. The former is to think like men (which is demonic in nature --- Matt 16:23) and speak, while the latter is to think like Christ and speak.

The Good News is that we have the Word of His power on hand ----- The Bible. We can speak the Word and watch things move & change according to the Word.

The sum of your life is the sum of your words spoken in life. If we want to change any situation in our lives, we need to keep speaking the Word of God.

Healing By Evidence

Healing By Evidence

For a believer, the confirmation of your healing is by the evidence of healing. And the evidence of healing is the Word of God (Heb 11:1; Rom 10:8; Ps 107:20).

The Word confirms your healing. You don't look to your soul or body to tell you if you are healed. That is looking for healing by feeling and/or manifestation.

We walk by faith (the Word), not by sight (feeling and/or manifestation).

Since the salvation of your spirit is confirmed by the Word, and not by feeling, the 'sozo' of your body, aka healing, must be confirmed by the same thing.

You know that you are born again because the Word said so. You don't feel it. You believe it. Since Jesus always considered healing and salvation in the same package (Ps 103:1-3; Matt 9:5-6; Isaiah 53:4-5), as a believer, we just need to believe that it is the SAME.

You get born again by the evidence of the Word. You also get healed by the evidence of the Word.

Only non-believers need feeling and/or manifestation to confirm their healing because they are naturally walking by sight without the Spirit of God in them.

Jesus said to Thomas, "Blessed are those who believe without seeing."

Recently, I ministered to someone with an autoimmune disease. All the pain left immediately on the spot. I went back home and slept. In the middle of the night, I was awakened by a sharp, familiar pain on my pelvic.

For so many years, I have been freed from pain. I know that I am healed. Immediately, I knew that the enemy was extremely unhappy that I ministered to others with autoimmune disease. He tried to have a come-back.

Nonetheless, I didn't need any physical evidence to know that I am healed. I'm not looking for healing. I was healed and I stand healed by the confirmation of His Word. As I lay on the bed, I said to the enemy, "Stop lying. It's already done. You have no rights to change what the Word has completed. Now get off my back."

I went back to sleep and wake up without any pain.

If you are living by feeling, you are an easy target for the enemy. Because he will trick you into thinking that you will never get healed. And you won't.

As a believer, you don't need to receive healing from God. You cannot receive what you have already gotten. You have already received it on the day when you were born again into the Kingdom. You just didn't know it.

What you need to do is simply to AGREE with the Word, because the Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is already in you. The Spirit gives LIFE to your mortal body. When you agree with the Word, the Life of God touches your body. If the Word said it, that settled it.

The one who is not yet settled is you. You need to settle the fact that healing has already been confirmed by the evidence of the Word. As long as you stay in the ring, the enemy stays defeated.

Acquitting The Guilty

There is nothing God hates more
than condemning the one who is innocent
and acquitting the one who is guilty.
- Prov 17:15

Yet Jesus (innocent) was condemned so that Barabbas (guilty) could be acquitted.

Injustice fell on the Just so that justice can fall on the unjust.

Christ was treated like us so that we can be treated like Christ.

The Cross changed the judgment on us so that we can be changed by the Cross.

If we don't begin, continue and end at the Cross, we are finished. The New Creation puts in us an innocent New Man that is acquitted from judgment and free from guilt, so that we can remember that the wrath of God against Sin was fully consumed by Justice and Righteousness (the foundation of His own Throne).

The Cross frees us from Barabbas so that we are imprisoned by Christ. This divine exchange now consumes us with His steadfast Love and Faithfulness.

Whenever we look at our circumstances and wonder, "Why do I deserve all these?", we need to remember that Jesus received what we deserve so that we can receive what He deserved. That is the power and grace to overcome the circumstances and live in victory.

This Generation

When you minister with the cards facing downwards, you can give an Answer to those who ask, "Are these tarot cards?"

Tarot cards require you to flip them open, because they read from the cards.

We don't. We read it supernaturally by the power of Jesus.

Waited more than half an hour for the first person to come. But once it started, the people kept coming.

Closed the 'shop' at 10pm, but the queue was so long that we couldn't stop until 11.30pm.

Majority of them were local youths/young adults. This signifies that the youths of today are continually looking for some spiritual experiences. They are looking for hope and answers to what they are struggling with on the inside.

Life in Singapore is no longer as simple and easy as in the past. The tremendous pressure and stress from every side of the family, the culture and society in Singapore are extremely unhealthy.

Academic performance, work performance, cost of living, etc. are probably at the toughest level for this generation. Fresh grads are unable to secure a job despite hundreds of applications sent.

Truth be told, it's not going to get any better. Giving you carrots here and there as an act of help might show the world how good the system is. But one who has simple discernment can see deeper than the surface. The root issue is not meant to be dealt with. It's more often than not, planned by the system.

Instead of complaining about the system, which won't result in any change, we need to take deliberate actions if we do not want to be conformed to the system that is meant to keep you captive.

Declining morality is simply the manifestation of a problematic system built by ungodly people. God foresaw it, warned and prepared us.

While Jesus is always the Answer, there is no simple solution to this. You can lead someone to Christ, but if he goes to an institution that follows the system of this world, he can be in Christ but still be of the system where he is held captive.

For us who are awakened, we can do our part to minister faith, hope and love to this young generation who are seeking for an answer.

The Light of Your Eyes

The Light of Your Eyes

The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and a good report makes the bones healthy. - Prov 15:30

What we see determines what we bring to our heart. This proverbs can be corresponded with Christ's teaching in Matthew.

“The eye is the lamp of the body; so then, 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐲𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫, your whole body will be full of light." - Matt 6:22 NASB

The NASB is a great representation of the Greek language in this verse. The word 'clear' in Greek is literally 'single'. It means 'without folds, referring to a single, undivided focus.'

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞, 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 has an effect on our heart. What you focus on, your heart receives its effect. If you focus on what is good and beautiful, your heart receives joy for what is good and beautiful. If you focus on what is bad, your heart receives sorrow for what is evil and bad.

Proverbs 15:30 continues with 'and a good report makes the bones healthy.'

Isaiah 53:1 says, "𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭?" Isaiah was referring to Christ. He continued in verse 4-5.

However, 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝; yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted, struck down by God, and humiliated. 𝐁𝐔𝐓 He was pierced for our offenses, He was crushed for our wrongdoings; the punishment for our well-being was laid upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. - Isa 53:4-5 NASB (emphasis added)

In order for our body to be FULL of light (Matt 6:22), we need to see with clarity; single and undivided focus. The only good report we focus on should be Isaiah's report on Christ.

Put away the doctor's report.
Put away your loved ones' report.
Put away others' report.

We have assumed that Jesus was afflicted, struck down by God and afflicted. That is simply untrue. God did not strike His Son (God), though we interpreted it that way. This is why Isaiah said that "we ourselves assumed... 𝐁𝐔𝐓 He was pierced for our offenses..." The reason for 'BUT' is that the truth is different from what we assumed.

The Gospel is not about a holy God releasing His wrath upon humanity on His own Son. On the contrary, it is about God crushing sin and its effect through His Son.

Let our eyes be singled on Isaiah's report --- 𝐛𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐝. This report penetrates into your inner being (bones), affecting the whole body.

You Are Not Of The World

You Are Not Of The World

Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As you sent Me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate Myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. - John 17:17-19

The word for 'consecrate' and 'sanctified' is simply to 'set apart'.

Jesus said that we are in the world, but NOT of the world. He prayed to the Father to set His disciples apart in the Word. This also applies to us as it is a timeless truth.

In other words, the more we are IN the Word (truth), the more we are set apart from the world.

Jesus set Himself apart, that the disciples might be set apart in the Word, which is Him. The disciples did not have the New Testament when they were with Jesus. But they had the Word, because Jesus is the Word made flesh.

The disciples caught how the Word set Himself apart from the world. Therefore, they could set themselves apart in Him.

If people see us (believers) the same as the world, it proves that we are not in the Word. There is no difference. There is no separation aka consecration.

You and I are not different just to be different. We are set apart when we get into the Word and let the Word get into us. It becomes a natural thing that people see us and realise that we are not of the world.

Reflection: Do people see us the same as the world? If they do, it's time to question what we have truly believed in.

Authority for Eternal Life

John 17:2-3 - Jesus had authority to give eternal life.
- Eternal life is that they know the only true God and Jesus Christ.
- Jesus' authority over all flesh was meant to reveal who God is.
- Luke 10:19. We have been given authority over all devils. This authority is meant to reveal who God is (Matt 28:18-20) so that people can know Him (eternal life).

Faith That Endures

Faith That Endures

"For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” - Matt 17:20

The mustard seed is so tiny, yet Jesus illustrated faith with it. This means that faith has nothing to do with quantity. Faith has to do with standing firm and endurance.

With a mustard seed of faith, Jesus said that we will say to the mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move, AND nothing will be impossible for us.

There seems to be a progression. The mountain moves; AND nothing will be impossible for us. For us to see the impossible done, we must first see what seems to be impossible done. If we can see the mountain moved, our faith has grown to see the impossible.

Every miracle you see empowers you to overcome a bigger problem. I used to be a body builder many years ago. When I overcame 60 kg of bench press (my weight was 50-ish), I could take on 70kg, then 80kg and so on.

Jesus said that you will say to the mountain and it will move. But He didn't say WHEN it will move. How fast we expect it to move depends on the mustard seed of faith that we have sown in.

Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed. When it is sown, it will grow to become like a tree (Luke 13:19). He illustrated this by cursing the fig tree before teaching the faith principle (Mark 11:22-23).

Once you have sown the mustard seed of faith, it will GROW and it will WORK, whether instantly or progressively. How fast you want it to work depends on whether your seed has become a tree.

Once you have sown the seed, you endure/persevere to the end. This is the only way for it to grow and work.

But the one who endures to the end will be saved (sozo-ed). - Matt 24:13 (emphasis added)

...knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result... - James 1:3-4

The word 'endurance' in James 1:3 and 'endures' in Matt 24:13 come from the same root word 'hupomenó', which means to abide and remain steadfast.

It is similiar to Ephesians 6:13 when you have done all, 'to stand'. In the Greek, it means 'one who does not hesitate, does not waver; of one who vanquishes his adversaries and holds the ground.'

You are not enduring because God is testing you. You are enduring because the enemy is the one attacking you. Each time when you let faith endure, you defeat the enemy.

For you to see the result of faith, you sow the mustard seed and endure/persevere it to the end. By remaining steadfast, you are letting the seed GROW into the tree. 'Nothing will be impossible for you' becomes your reality.

The problem comes when you doubt (aka double-minded). You cannot mix faith with unbelief. It is like sowing the seed and digging it up from the ground again. In this case, it will NEVER grow. It will NEVER produce result.

Alot of believers know how to sow the mustard seed of faith. But it is enduring to the end that they can't. You will have to align your words, your thoughts and your actions to who and what Christ is, regardless of your situation. This is where you become perfect (mature) and complete, lacking nothing (James 1:4).

The faith that endures to the end is the mustard seed that grows to become a tree. The faith that endures to the end is the one that gets sozo-ed (saved, healed, delivered, protected, preserved, made whole, kept safe and sound).

The Mustard Seed of Faith

People's unbelief cannot stop my believing.
But my own unbelief can stop my believing.

Little faith = unbelief = double-minded
- It means that I mix believing with unbelief.
- I believe, but it doesn't endure; I have doubt again.
- Believing + doubting doesn't work.
- It's like sowing the mustard seed of faith and then digging it up again

By His Stripes, The Work of God

By His Stripes, The Work of God

By His stripes, you were healed. (1 Peter 2:24)

If it is BY His stripes, it has to do with the work of God. It has to do with what He had done. This means that it has NOTHING to do with what we have done or will ever do.

If you think that you can do anything to get healed OR miss your healing, you have focused on the wrong thing.

The work of God has nothing to do with your behaviour, your lifestyle, your actions, etc. To think that there is something you must have done wrong when you didn't get your healing is to think that healing depends on your works.

It is His stripes that got you healed. Focus on His stripes. Focus on that. Focus on the free gift. Focus on His work.

Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” - John 6:29

This is the simplest but hardest truth. Only believe. Believe in Him. Believe in His stripes. Believe that He took them for you. This is the only work you 'do'.

Strive to enter that rest (Heb 4:11). That rest in context is about believing (Heb 4:2).

When you strive to enter the rest of faith, you cease striving in every other area. You cease from ALL your works (Heb 4:10).

Only when you stop believing in any of your own work will you start believing that it is ALL about His work.

If egg yolk is the position of believing, you need to get rid of the shell and egg white that are hindering you from believing.

Those are unbelief. It is unbelief (Matt 17:20) that prevented the disciples from seeing the demon cast out from the boy.

When we mix believing with unbelief, it hinders the work of God.

Unbelief has to do with anything about you.
Believing has to do with everything about God.

The day you stop trusting in yourself and your works is the day you start trusting in Him and His work.

It is BY HIS STRIPES that you were healed.

The Conviction of The Holy Spirit

The Conviction of The Holy Spirit

And when He comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐢𝐧, because 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 do not believe in Me; 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, because I go to the Father, and 𝐲𝐨𝐮 will see Me no longer; 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, because 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 is judged. - Jn 16:8-11

The Holy Spirit convicts the world of three things:
1) Sin
2) Righteousness
3) Judgment

But the target audience for each category differs. There are three target audience who are in the world:
1) Unbelievers
2) Believers
3) The enemy

𝟏) 𝐔𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬
The Holy Spirit convicts them of sin. This is not the sin of doing what is wrong. If it is, it will be plural. Since the context is about believing, it has to be the 𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 (because they do not believe in Me).

𝟐) 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬
The Holy Spirit convicts the believers of righteousness. This is because Jesus has returned to the Father and thus, we no longer have a perfect Example to watch and follow. Now that the Spirit of the perfect Example lives in us, He convicts us of righteousness ----- 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠. This empowers us to have a god-conscience that is above the world's good conscience.

𝟑) 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐲
The Holy Spirit reminds the enemy that he is 𝐀𝐋𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐘 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬. The enemy's head was bruised by Christ (Gen 3:15); the enemy was disarmed and put to shame (Col 2:15); the power of death was destroyed (Heb 2:14).

As believers, we continue to enforce that judgment through the works of the Spirit (Luke 10:18-19; Mark 16:15-18). Each time when we heal the sick and deliver the oppressed, the enemy gets a reminder that he is judged.

Your Thinking Releases His Power

Your Thinking Releases His Power

Recently, I have been having vision (day) and dream (night) on 'thinking'. If young men see visions and old men dream dreams, I must be somewhere in between. Lol.

I felt the Spirit speaking to me, "While the power of God is in your heart (Jn 7:38), it is in your thinking that opens or restricts the flow."

In the dream, I had series of events. Wherever I went, I could simply use my thinking to literally move things around. I think sci-fi movies copied Christianity. We had to be the originators.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. - Eph 3:20

This passage, when read in English, does not do justice to the Scripture. It has diluted the meaning, the richness and the power of this passage.

While God is able (root word of dunamis) to do over and beyond all that we 'ask' or 'think', He can't do it without our cooperation. It is according to the dunamis through the Holy Spirit that 'works' in us (Acts 1:8).

The word 'works' in Greek means 'to be operative or put forth power so that it is effectual'. In this context, it speaks of 'the dative of person in whose mind a thing shows itself active.'

Note 1: This power brings about the result that we want to see, in any circumstance. If it is not operative, it is present but it is not effectual.

Note 2: In this context, the mind of the person is involved. One might think that it's simply about seeing with the mind's eyes (a thing shows itself active). But I like to suggest that it is more than that. Because the principle of seeing does not work for me.

Since Eph 3:20 involves our cooperation, we observe two things. 'Ask' or 'Think'.

The word 'ask' in Greek is 'aiteo' which consists of 'ask, request, demand'. It is best represented by this passage in 1 John.

And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him. - 1 Jn 5:14-15

This has to be the confidence of declaring and speaking His will. And it is simple.

The word 'think' in Greek has to do with 'considering' and 'perceiving'. It is not just an English word, which only means what you think.

The word 'noiéō', where 'think' is from, is about what you consider ----- 'to apply mental effort needed to reach "bottom-line" conclusions'.

In other words, you consider with conclusion. Your consideration has conclusion. You are thinking with value-judgment. This is like God because we are created in His image. God never thinks without conclusion because His thoughts create something out of nothing without shrinking back.

Each time we think with conclusion/judgment according to His will, the power of the Spirit is made operative and effectual and it brings about the result that we want to see, where it lines up with His Word.
