Your Expectation

Your Expectation

What you expect is what you believe. And whatever you believe, you receive. (Mk 11:24)

The world tells us "Do not expect this. Do not expect that." This is to prevent disappointment and discouragement.

But the Word tells us that God can do exceedingly abundantly above ALL you ask or think, ACCORDING to His power that is at work WITHIN us. (Eph 3:20)

If it's ACCORDING to what is WITHIN us, it means that you and I play the VITAL role.

When I have seen something happening over and over again, I stop praying, commanding or using words. I start expecting it to take place again and again.

There are certain ailments and sicknesses that I have seen healed over and over again, such that I no longer pray or command for people to be healed. I expect it each time when I see it.

To make it practical and easy for you to understand, I give you an example. If there are uneven legs due to uneven spine, when I lift up the legs, I expect them to straighten up. Without a word spoken, the leg starts moving on it's own; the spine starts straightening by itself.

Because the world outside us responds to the Word within us. Our expectation causes the external to conform to the internal.

The Word doesn't submit to anything or anyone. But everything and everyone must submit to the Word. Because ALL things were created by the Word and for the Word (Col 1:16).

Each time when we EXPECT the outcome, the Word manifests Himself. Your expectation goes way FASTER than the words coming out of your mouth.

Your inspection of the Word must move you on the inside to your expectation of the Word, so that the world outside you will respect what you expect and submit to it in obedience.

Christmas

Christmas

The fear to talk about Jesus in any required situation is not wisdom. Neither is it being sensitive to others.

It is the fear from the pit of hell.

We don't have to talk about Jesus all the time with our lips. But when the situation arises, the fear of God must triumph the fear of men.

The birth of Christ was not on 25th December. It was the birth of the Roman sun god Sol Invictus. It is believed that Constantine later instituted Churchianity and chose 25th December to celebrate Christ, an attempt to co-opt the pagan holiday of Sol Invictus in order to restrict paganism.

Most scholars believe that Christ was born between June and October based on the biblical incidents.

The question is... does it matter?

One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. - Romans 14:5

Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. - Col 2:16-17

The specific day of Christ's birthday is not significant. What is important is Christ Himself as the True Substance.

Because He was indeed born, crucified, died and rose from the dead to crush the gates of hell and sin, we can now experience true freedom from the inside out and live with a defining purpose.

Christmas is not a Day in life. It is the Way of life.

It is the New and Living Way, because you realise that what you have been living for has been changed 180 degrees so that the Way you value things/people and the Way you see things/people are no longer the same.

On this day, I wish you Christmas ------ may you experience the New and Living Way as your eyes are opened to the Way of Life, Christ Himself as the True Substance.

Singapore - The Weight & The Sin

Singapore - The Weight & The Sin

Every culture is reflected by it's people. The life, health and behaviours of people reflect what is deeper in the Spirit.

Singapore is a first world nation, but in many ways, a third-world spirit. We are rich in many ways, but poor within. The orphan spirit is manifested in so many areas, even in the churchianity.

Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. - Heb 12:12-13

This passage has been popping up in my mind and spirit several times and it points to the reality of our nation --- Singapore.

The context of this begins with, "...let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely..." - Heb 12:1

The result of weight ('burden' in Greek) and sin is weak hands and feeble knees (Ezekiel 21:6-7). What is physical is simply a reflection of the spiritual.

People in Singapore struggle with feeble knees and weak hands. If you have seen people in various countries, you will know that this is not exactly the norm, especially among middle-aged people. We are not even talking about the aged.

The unhealthy burden/weight (bondage) in this country is likened to that of the land of Egypt, and the sin like that of Babylon. It's not going to be resolved just by dieting, eating healthy and joining scores of fitness programme.

The solution is "...fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of faith." - Heb 12:2

This is not found in churchianity or cellgroup programme. If it is so, the result would have been evident. But the reality is that more often than not, we see the same culture, life, health and behaviours among the supposedly called-out assembly.

If we are to be any different with the Spirit of Christ and Life within us, one evident manifestation is healthy hands and feet, the New Covenant that is free from the result of burden/weight and sin.

If we are not breaking through this culture of Singapore, we are not preaching fiercely and boldly the Gospel of the New Covenant.

The Modern Day Samaritan Woman

Two European ladies came and sat for spiritual reading. One is from Italy while the other is from another part of Europe. Apparently, they just got to know each other that night.

We asked the Italian lady if she had sinus issue and she said "yes". Ministered healing.

As the lady had different tattoos all over her, we requested, "Can we read the tattoo on your hand?"

She curiously replied, "You can read tattoo?"

So we looked at it and answered, "You have great leadership in you, like that of your father. But at the age of 19, suicidal thoughts came rushing into you. You wanted to die. Yet these are darkness trying to take you out of this life because they realise how valuable and powerful you are as a woman. These are dark spirits who wanted you out, but God protected you from death so that you can be here today."

She was so blown away that she was completely lost for words, while drinking a can of fruity beer. Her eyes were watery and she kept saying, "What the fu*k?! You are fuc*ing amazing! I have no words to say."

She kept pausing in silence and repeating the same words. So we read the other European lady first. That will be another story altogether.

We came back to the Italian lady. She continued, "This is fu*king amazing beyond words. You just read my whole life! Do you know what the words on my tattoo say?"

We replied, 'No, we don't know the language."

She exclaimed, "This tattoo has words written in our language saying, "Take me out of this darkness."

Just then, a group of young people came. They were the friends of two Singaporean ladies who were being read spiritually earlier. They brought their friends to the booth.

The Italian lady stood up and started going around telling them who were waiting in the vicinity. "I don't know him. I just met him here. And he just fu*king told me about my whole life. I attempted suicide when I was 19 and I this was how I got this tattoo."

We shared about Jesus with her. She was bruised by the church. Her mum is a strong believer, but she doesn't know if she really believes in this God-thing. Well, we believe that this encounter will bring her back.

She said that I should post this encounter on IG. She added, "Why are you doing it for free? You should maybe collect $1 per reading or something. You should share my story. You can even do video sharing. I'm willing to be in the video to testify what happened."

We responded, "Have you seen Jesus collecting money after praying?"

There was a pretty long conversation with her and her new European friend, revealing the love and the goodness of Christ into their lives.

Modern day Samaritan is possible when people encounter the goodness of God. Jesus!
