God Already Changed You

Stop waiting for God to change you. He can't.

Because He already did it on the Cross. If His works were not completely complete and perfectly perfect, Jesus died in vain.

The New you is already given. It's called the New Creation (2 Cor 5:17). When we get born again, we are instantly changed.

Christianity is not a self-help programme. You don't become better. It's a ONE-step change. Jesus didn't come to make you become better. He killed the old you so that you are changed to the new you.

This is why you begin complete in Him (Col 2:10).

The reason that you don't see yourself changed is because you are still looking at the flesh. But God sees you in the spirit. He sees you already changed.

He's waiting for us to renew our mind to see the New Man in us. Until we see who we really are in the Spirit, we won't see any change in the flesh.

But just because you don't see any change in your flesh doesn't mean that you are still the same. You are a brand new, changed man who just hasn't realised it.

When we change our view of ourselves (mind renewal), we change the way we live.

God did His part to change us. Now it's our turn to think, see and live changed.

Worship

Worship

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. - John 4:24

We often relegate worship to slower-moving songs. But worship is beyond songs.

Worship involves presenting the whole of you to the whole of Him (Romans 12:1). Yes, in songs of worship, we can lay hold of that moment of His manifested presence to surrender ourselves to Him in spirit and truth.

During songs of worship, the communion with Him must be from the spirit. That allows the soul and the body to be renewed and transformed.

While worship (songs) affects our emotions (soul), it must not start there. It must flow from the spirit affecting our emotions. More often than not, worshippers begin from emotions and end with emotions.

This is the reason that people could remain bitter, upset, unforgiving and hold grudges RIGHT AFTER a session of worshiping Him in songs. That is NOT worship. It's simply a moment of emotional experiences, self-gratifying the flesh and "feeling good" but without communion in spirit and truth.

In worship, we humble ourselves before Him because we give Him the highest worth. That means that whatever bitterness, unforgiveness, grudges, etc must be surrendered before the King who is Love, Forgiveness, Grace and Truth.

When we worship Him in truth, we have to 'abandon' those emotions that keep us bitter and battered. Those are not the truth. We let His truth triumph over what we are experiencing. We lay down those stuff at His feet so that we can have His mind, which is victorious. This is humility ---- thinking of yourself less and exalting Him fully.

Such worship in spirit and truth renews our mind and transforms us. We walk in with unforgiveness, bitterness, grudges etc, but we walk out of a session of worship (songs) liberated, forgiving, joyful, surrendering all grudges to Him. That is worship. Because you become who you worship.

If you walk out of a session of worship (songs) having the same (negative) emotions as before, you are not worshiping God. You are worshiping you.
